Good for the sink, drain and the planet. And economical too!
Having a septic tank means you can't really use strong chemicals to clean the sink and drains, nor would I want to as its not eco friendly, so it's very helpful to have these Earth enzymes which I've used now for about 7 years to keep both my kitchen sink and the out side drains clear and sweet smelling. And one tub lasts for months and I use it it several times a week. Also it has a pleasant but not over powering smell and you just add 1 teaspoon to 200ml of hot water and pour it down the sink. I do it just before I go to bed so it will have more time to work, but you can do it any time. A good product for the planet and for a clean, clear drain. Obviously, it doesn't get rid of leaves from outside drains, but if you keep them clear, this product does the rest and keeps them healthy and not malodorous.

very good product - only limitations are with the natural
very good product - only limitations are with the natural .ability to get 100 percent contact with the walls of the drain - not a problem of the substance effectiveness !

I think it worked.
This is apparently suitable for drains and sinks, but I was using it for a spare room toilet, where the water level was usually very high, and the pipework from it almost horizontal, with not sufficient slope. Without being sure, we didn't think the pipework was clearing properly. The product doesn't speak specifically about toilets, but since using it, the water level seems to have gone down, so we are hopeful that with regular use, it will keep the pipework clear. If so, it worked well.

slowly slowly catchee monkee
I am using this to help clear a slow drain which leads to the main street sewer pipe. I assume there is a blockage at some point along the line and I have to be careful about how much water goes down the drain at any one time - frustrating and changes many routines . I have tried various products including caustic soda, washing soda etc. The most effective thing I have used is this product - the blockage is either organic or it could be a build up of silt after heavy rain. It's not a quick fix but I was able to leave it it the drain whilst I was away from home for a few days without worrying about damage to the pipework. On my return the bottom of the drain was full of gunge ( a technical term) which I was able to scoop out - not nice but better out than in as they say. I've had to stop using it for a few days whilst a fresh supply was on its way but resuming today and am hopeful that it will clear the drain in due course. The key seems to be giving it plenty of time to work - if you can leave the drain unused for at least 24 hours you should see results but be prepared to be persistent - infinite patience versus a finite blockage must surely succeed in the end.

Worked after all
My shower had started to empty very slowly. The hair trap isn't brilliant and there's a 3 metre horizontal run to the outside drain. The outside drain was clear of leaves etc, so that wasn't where the problem lay. I was keen to prevent a total blockage, so had poured a kettle full of boiling water down a couple of times but to no effect. So I thought I'd give this product a try, as enzymes make sense and I didn't want to use strong toxic chemicals. Followed instructions, left 24 hours, had shower. Still emptying slowly! I poured in another kettle full of boiling water and thought I'd better find a different product. Imagine my surprise and delight when, showering the following day, the shower emptied perfectly quickly. And it has stayed that way too for the last three weeks. Needless to say, I later found a load of hair in the outside drain. Problem solved!

Okay so far
Using this to maintain an unblocked bathroom sink. Have to use every week but simple to use. 2 teaspoons dissolved in water put down sink overnight. So far so good! It's American so it's measurements to unblock something are in cups and quarts - not a problem just something to be aware of. Not tried this though.

Excellent Product
This is my review of "Earth Friendly Products Earth Enzymes Drain Cleaner 908g".I bought this product as i noticed when my washing machine would start, my kitchen sink pipe would make a glugging sound, which lead me to finding this product.I have been using this for 3, almost 4 weeks now and the noise is no longer an issue. I use it weekly by putting 2-3 teaspoons mixed with warm water and pour it through my kitchen and bathroom sink. The product smells suprisingly pleasant and if you're using this as a preventative measure, then you can easily get 6+ months use from it.I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

Biological breakdown of grease, food and other organic pipe muck. Did what it said for my very old, slow draining kitchen drain.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this product. I am just a guy who purchased Earth Enzymes on Amazon and am posting an honest review. Promise. Really. Check my other reviews. Long history.(Update, June 1, 2016): I used this stuff three times in a row over three days. The pipes are still draining very well. No signs of slow drains. I stopped using it daily because the pipes were draining fine. I sort of lost interest in making solutions and pouring them down the drain. I may use the rest of it soon. In short, it seemed to work well. Well enough for me to stop worrying about it. Original review below.)My setup: 60 year old house in southeastern US. Galvanized steel, 2" drain pipe for kitchen. Two 90 degree bends in drain before it reaches the main. 60 years of grease, coffee grounds, food particles, etc built up in pipes. Slow drain. Never clogged completely. Lots of pots of boiling water. Occasional plunging, etc. Typical old, slow drain.I resorted to two whole bottles of liquid drain opener a few months ago. Drain opened up better than it had since I lived here, proving that muck in the pipe is the culprit. But using caustic drain openers is a bad idea for so many reasons. Primarily because it eventually destroys your pipes and costs lots of money to replace. And some plumbers can be destructive and under-informed. But I know that I have years of accumulated muck in my pipes. So I got this stuff. The mixture ratio indicates 2 quarts of water mixed with 2 cups of product to unstop a drain. (1 quart=4 cups) This ratio equals 1 part Earth Enzyme to 4 parts warm water, regardless of volume mixed. My kitchen drain was starting to show signs of slowing down again. *sigh*. I mixed 1 cup of Earth Enzyme to 4 cups (very) warm water. Used a cheap plastic cookie container to mix. Ran hot water down drain for about 5 minutes, then poured Earth Enzyme mixture down Kitchen Sink. I stopped up both sides of the sink with sink strainer/stoppers and left it for 11 hours. The next morning I ran hot water down the pipes for 5 minutes or so while I boiled up a very large pot of water. Poured large pot of boiling water down drain. Water drained faster than it has in the 10 years I have lived here!I ran hot water for 5 minutes a little while later. The water ran down the drain as fast as I could put it in.Currently I have another mixture of 4 cups water/1 cup enzyme sitting in the pipes with the kitchen sink plugged with strainer/stoppers. I am going to use this stuff every night until the bottle is empty. About 4 or 5 treatments. Keep in mind that I am using a half-dose from the recommended dose (same strength) for a clogged drain. My drain was not clogged but showing signs of slowing down (again....). Since I didn't actually have a clog I used only 1 quart and 1 cup and put it straight down the pipes. This product is supposed to consist of bacteria and proteins that activate in warm water and consume grease and food particles as a primary food source. By all appearances it is and does exactly that. It bubbled up with a pretty classic "bacterial culture" foam when stirred. And my kitchen drain literally drained better than it ever has (for me) after a single treatment.I always post follow-up review on products when there is a need. So far, after one overnight treatment, I am very pleased with this product. It appears to work. However, I have not attempted to unclog a totally blocked sink or one that is blocked with hair and toilet paper. I assume with enough time this product would even break down those products. But I would guess it would take days, multiple treatments, and a plunger. But for old, greasy pipes with years of organic waste clinging to the pipe walls in a slime wasteland, this product is specifically designed to eat this stuff, as food, off of the inside of your pipes.I should have purchased a multi-pack. One bottle works great, but you will probably wish you had more. I promise I don't work for these people or profit in any way by posting a good review. I just like the concept of biological breakdown of organic waste in pipes. And theoretically, with repeated uses, all of the food (blockage) in the pipes would be consumed, cleaning years of muck out of them without potentially damaging and expensive plumber snakes. If I see different results I will post a follow-up. My follow-ups always go at the TOP of my reviews.

Helped with a stinky kitchen drain
This helped eliminate a bad odour coming from my kitchen drain. I had tried vinegar and baking soda a few times and didn't want to go the toxic route, drain-o or whatever. The instructions say to do the first dose for 24 hours but we could only go without the sink for 12. But it seems to have worked pretty well anyway, as the smell is greatly reduced if not completely gone. If it improves further, and we do well using the product in weekly maintenance mode, I won't hesitate to come back and upgrade to five stars.

Good drain maintainer, but doesn't work on already clogged pipes
The ECOS Earth Enzymes is a environmentally friendly option to maintain my kitchen and bathroom drain from being clogged, but I didn't find it efficient for already clogged drains or pipes. Since only tablespoons of product are needed for maintenance, the product is quite cost efficient per use (even if you have to do it once a week).I use this product once 1-2 weeks for the kitchen and bathroom sink, along with the tub and garbage disposal. For maintenance I use 2 tbsp powder for sink, 3 tbsp powder for tub and 4 tbsp powder for garbage disposal. I mix it with enough water (must be warm to activate the product), pour it in the drain and let it sit until I next use the water. I found it most efficient approach then letting water run immediately after; the longer you can wait, the better. The enzyme powder doesn't fully mix/dissolve in warm water, I just make sure that it's well stirred with the water before pouring it in the drain.Used regularly, I noticed less buildup from normal grease and other residues; I didn't noticed it dissolving hair build-up. I didn't get clogged drains with the kitchen sink and the bath tub while using it, but I still needed other solutions for the bathroom sink (mine clogs so easily, I never understood why).I also found it great for controlling bad smell coming from the drains.I really appreciate that this products is enzymes based, safer for the septic system and the environment. But unfortunately it doesn't work for already clogged drains, so when those occur I need to use other products, with stronger chemicals. For clogged drains I tried the 2 cups product with 2 quarts water over night, it helped somewhat, but didn't removed the entire clog.

I have only used it once. I am hoping ...
I have only used it once. I am hoping that this is the solution for my smelly drains. I also hope that this can keep my drains open so that I don't need to use the harsh drain openers that eventually damage pipes by eating away at the metal.

USELESS
I used Earth Enzymes Drain Opener twice with absolutely no improvement to my drain. The container only has enough powder for 2 uses. Very expensive at more than $13+/treatment ($26.98 total cost, including shipping)!Per the instructions, I mixed 2 cups of product in 8 cups (2 quarts) of warm water, poured into the drain and let it sit for 48 hours the first time, and 36 hours the second time a week later. I did not use the drains at all during either of these treatment time periods. I flushed the drain with several gallons of hot water after each treatment. No improvement. In the past, I had better results using Zep Liquid Drain Care Build-up Remover (and it is way easier to use and much cheaper than the Earth Enzymes). I bought Zep Liquid Drain Care at my local hardware store for $13 for 64 regular treatments (or 8 clog clearing/slow drain treatments). I will return to using Zep Liquid Drain Care in the future. This experience has shown me that buying an expensive product doesn't necessarily produce better results. Lesson learned. As an aside, I always wipe down greasy dishes with a paper towel before washing them, I don't pour greasy substances down the sink, and I use strainers on my sinks and shower. However, I live in a 50 year old house, so there is likely decades of old build-up on the pipes.I contacted the seller (Daily Supply) explaining my displeasure with the product and was advised they were only the seller/distributor of the product and refused to address my complaint. I then filed a complaint through Amazon and was issued a full refund. Because of this I have given 2 stars, otherwise I would have given the product 1 star (since it is not possible to give a zero rating).
