Screenprinting: The Ultimate Studio Guide from Sketchbook to Squeegee

Terrific book this is amazing for anybody that already knows how to Screenprint maybe Textile that wants to print Paper or maybe Paper Screen Printer that wants to do Textile or even a Novice. Everything is set out so clear shows you hope to create artwork properly to the actual printing. One of the greatest quirks of the book I found though is it introduces some of the Screen Printing Artists but instead of like other books that go OOOOOH look at what I can do and basically a gallery of all there works this talks about them what they do how they got into the art and then SHOWS you step by step how they do what they do. A great example Ben Eine probably the best know artist and pal to a certain street artist showing how he creates his masterpieces and Evil Ink to . What it doesn't show is prolific Artist Darren "UNORTHODOX" G who is known to use screen print medium would have been keen to see how he creates some of his art pieces as I'm told he gets invited to Print Studio London every so often not sure if its the Dalston one or not. Amazing book would be great to have been given an Ebook version as well hand for on train etc.

Very useful book, comprehensive and presented. Recommended for the beginner and practiced printer.

Was very happy with this book!! Perfect for starting out (although the exposure part is taken if you use or have access to a big UV unit... Not a hobby kit) but you can pick up some great tips and things. This book covers basic photoshop for use with screen printing, a bunch of different techniques to try and some case studies with various artists :) it's a gorgeous book even just to flick through.

Beautiful book, great detail and illustration. IF you have Studio style chemical printing in mind. I think as an absolute beginner (me), a book on stencil screen printing is more appropriate. Aim to be as good as those in the book but for now little more basic work for me using stencils.

You must buy this book if you're learning screen printing or even if you're experienced. Worth it's weight in gold! It clearly explains how to do each step of the process using photos and screen shots. Covers many different ways of working.

Fantastic book purchased after their 1 day fabric screenprinting course. Step by step guide from studio concepts-to-execution alongside visuals. Refer to this most days to understand the process. Essential purchase!!

I bought this as a present for my brother in law as he’s gotten into painting in this last year and lived it. His style made me think he’d enjoy a go at screen printing, and he said this book is very readable and motivating-highly recommended

This book is INCREDIBLE! I have been screen printing a long time now and have decided to go the route of making this my career with hopes of starting a screen printing collective. I have been so inspired by this book. I can’t say enough good things about it!

Book is really really well done. There are other reviews that talk about how they are disappointed with the artwork selections which begs the question of why didn’t they buy a book specifically highlighting screen printing artists? This book is about process both traditional and non traditional uses of screen printing. As some one who was self taught over 10 years ago and now runs a small printing business I find this book fantastic and use this as my go to recommendation for people looking to get into the art form. Tons of visuals, techniques and clear straightforward explanations. Yes, not every technique is described in 100% full detail but it is also impossible to cover every possible technique ever done. They do a great job of highlighting a handful of additional processes that are possible that you can then dive into deeper on your own. I wish this book would have been available when I started years ago. Even though a lot of the book was I do that I had already acquired there was multiple ahah moments and new techniques that have rekindled an excitement tor experimentation. Great book!

It's a coffee table book. Revolves around the print club London. Content is for atleast good screen printers who are passionate more about skills and enjoyment in screen printing. Print, paper quality, legibility, content all are welcome excellant. Buy it only if have a lobby,waiting room, library or if you are training in screen printing. It gives good insight into screen printing as art rather than a trade. So be mindful not to get dissappointed if you buy book for some quikcfix or five point trick to do screen printing. It's not screen printing for dummies kind of DIY guide.

I gave this to my daughter who says it is very useful to her, as someone with some, but limited, experience of screen printing from art school, but now trying to make and sell her own prints.
