Fantastic rice cooker!
This rice cooker is brilliant! I couldn't wait to try it. Quickly washed it and decided to test it with my riceberry. It was cooked to perfection! Such a small footprint you can pop it anywhere! I was so impressed as riceberry doesnt cook quite as fast as white rice. It cooked at 15 mins and I left it to keep warm for 10 mins. Super easy to clean too. My son visited the following day and I did a demo with white rice, another success at exactly 15 minutes, such was the succuss my son ordered one! Highly recommended!

Quite good little gadget
I am normally a die-hard for cooking my rice on the stove-top, as I have a tried-and tested method I read about once that works well; however this was recommended to me so I was tempted to try it. I've given 4 stars because the little cooker is easy to use, takes up very little room and I do admit you can leave your rice cooking whilst you concentrate on the rest of the meal. The snap-close lid means there is no boil-over or mess. As other reviewers have mentioned, this little device cooks enough rice for 2 people, and is indeed very handy if you are home by yourself and want a smaller portion, or if you want to avoid microwavable rice or the waste of cooking too much. There is also slightly less washing up for me. I think I'll get good use out of this. I have just deducted a star because I tend to cook delicate rices such as basmati or jasmine (which only require 6-10 minutes on the stove), so for my taste, the rice is ever-so slightly over-cooked here and a tad dry, compared to a traditional method. On the upside, if you tend to overcook your rice, this could be an improvement!! All in all, the convenience this offers probably outweighs the slightly dry result, but I haven't yet tried long grain rice and this could turn out fine. So that's a good 4 stars from me.

Great value
It's TINY! and very effective. Easy to clean. And you can tuck the cable inside if you're careful, so can be taken on trips. Very pleased - I do all my rice in it, and take it on trips too.

A small and basic rice cooker
A great little rice cooker. Perfect size for one person but plenty big enough to make two or three servings. Doesn't take up a lot of space. There's not an on / off button or a timer - it's either cook or keep warm. Once the rice has cooked, the button automatically moves to the warm function. One portion seems to take 10-15 minutes to cook and I leave it on warm for about 15 minutes after. Perfectly cooked rice every time. Excellent value for money for a simple rice cooker.

Very efficient and compact item
So Iโm notoriously bad at cooking rice on the stove top, no matter what I do itโs always stodgy and sticks to the pan or out right burns or bubbles over, total disasters.I had resorted to buying the microwave rice packets, but I had got fed up of paying ยฃ1 for every portion of rice that our house of two required, it was getting expensive to say the least at least 3 meals a week that have rice with it,I didnโt want to buy a large rice cooker as my kitchen is tiny so I just donโt have the room to store a large one and didnโt want to waste any rice left over so I held of buying one at all. Spotted this little gadget and for the price of it I thought why not have a go, if it didnโt meet out requirements Iโd send it back But wow have to say no I wonโt be sending it back Iโm very impressed with this. I used the 1.5 rice to 1.5 water ratio and for the first try I used basmati rice.i also added 1/2 a teaspoon of vegetable oil to the pot and mixed it in before popping the lid on and flipping the switch to cook.within 5 mins I could smell the rice so that was a good sign.nice and simple when it finished it switched itself to warm and I left it for the required 15 minute steaming time.and I was very impressed with the results,I used a wooden fork to separate the grains and it was lovely and fluffy with a great texture.this ratio would definitely feed two people no problem, but on the first try there was just me and there is some left over (orange bowl with hand to give size), the added vegetable oil at the beginning also meant the rice did not stick to the inner pot at all so that made for easier cleaning out at the end. Next I shall be trying sushi rice and jalofi This is definitely a two person portion ratio though if your own your own you could maybe have 3 portions depending on how hungry you are

Tiny, but good rice cooker
I bought this because I previously had the Russell Hobbs 1.8L one which you can find on here too. I definitely don't recommend the russell hobbs one because it has a glass top which leaves a lot of steam out. This dries out the rice and it does not cook very well. However, THIS rice cooker is perfect. It takes about 12 minutes to cook, but you need to leave it for another 10 minutes or so to steam properly. If someone is complaining that their rice was wet, this is probably what they did. Let it steam for the extra few minutes and the rice will be perfect. This rice cooker is absolutely tiny. You can see my hand in the photo covering the whole top (and I don't have large hands). I was worried it would be too small, but it's actually perfect for me. This cooks 1.6 cups of rice (Japanese rice cups are 3/4 of an American cup size). 0.5-1 cup of rice is enough for one person. I only ever cook for two and even 1.6 cups worth of rice is on the bigger side that what I need for two. I love this because it can be put away in a cupboard and not take up much space, where my old rice cooker took up a lot of space. There are a few things you should know before buying this.... * There is no on/off switch on the device, so you will need to plug it out when you want to turn it off completely. * The top cover is not messy, but steam does accumulate in between the top parts which are difficult to clean. You can see on my picture that the metal part of the top cover does not separate so it is hard to get into there to wash it. This part is only water, so you can rinse it easily. You might be able to disconnect these two parts, but it doesn't look like you can. * The plastic rice spoon does not fit inside, so you can't leave it inside to put it away. I put it in my cutlery drawer. The rice measuring cup does fit in there though. * The power cable is fine, but is messy to put away. I used a little strip of velcro to wrap it up tightly so when I put it in the cupboard, it doesn't catch on everything and knock it over. Overall, well worth buying if you want a small rice cooker that is easy to use, clean, and store.

Cheapest for a reason
Just about does what it needs to do, but don't expect the little LED lights to work reliably past the 3rd or 4th time using it. Or the switch to make a sound that let's you know it's on - or finished. There's a reason this is the cheapest rice cooker on Amazon. Already starting to rust on the bottom after a month or so of use. Not expecting it to last much longer.

Cute. Convenient. Functions well.
Cooks like normal cookers. So tiny you can bring it anywhere. Tip 1: If you are an Asian and uses finger measurement, you have to lessen the water a little bit. Tip 2: clean the lid every after use. Made of plastic and silicone so you wouldn't want bacteria to build up there. Only con is that there is no handle. The vessel gets hot so just be careful okay

Operates on 220V
I was not expecting a small kitchen appliance sold and delivered in the US to be 220V. May have missed this in the fine print.
