john frieda did not disappoint! i was worried how this will turn out on my grown out bleached, faded purple-pink patchy mess. i absolutely butchered my hair since the start of the pandemic: bleached it, been ginger, had split dyed hair, bleached again, dyed bright pink then dark purple then crimson which faded. this dye cleared up the mess. i didn't apply to my brown roots, but used a comb for a nice ombre affect and it was so easy to apply. no mess and quick and easy to massage in. colour is lovely and isn't too much. i added coconut milk and jojoba oil with the conditioner and now my hair is so lovely and soft, it's like i never bleached it! will defo use this dye again!

This is the first time I've used this brand and this foam type of home dye. I usually use the liquid type. Compared with other dyes, this is easier to mix, easier to apply and easier to clean up. I'm usually very messy but this dye truly didn't drip. It came off the skin really easily despite me not using the barrier cream it recommended, and it came off my sink without even scrubbing. It smelled a bit like wet dog when I washed it off but the smell soon went once I'd put my serum on. I haven't done a second wash so can't comment on how well it sticks but I've already noticed that it's fully covered my greys whereas with previous dyes I've still been able to spot where they were.

This is absolutely the best home dye kit I have ever used. I have long hair and usually have to buy two bottles of dye but with this foam, I only needed one and there was still some left over. It is so easy to use and mess free. The smell isnt too strong, whereas other dyes make my eyes sting badly, I was fine with this. I was so pleased with the outcome, the colour is beautiful and it made my hair really shiny and not dry at all. That is probably down to the conditioner that is included. Highly recommend, this is the only dye kit I will ever buy now. 5*

Much much easier to apply than creme colourant. It was easy to apply and massage into my hair like a shampoo and it didn’t go sticky like creme does by the time you have to wash it out so that part is easier too. I have to say the colour is ok, I like bright colours and they don’t really have any in this range but it’s a fairly decent red brown. I would buy again purely because of how much easier it was to use (and because I didn’t need to clean drips from my entire bathroom afterwards!)

I love the easy application of this brand, the foam is light, doesn’t drip and doesn’t stain the scalp in the same way that other brands do. This used to be a more expensive option, which I was happy to pay for but prices rises in other products now means that it costs the same as other products. For ease of application this is a way better product. I tend to use red shades which fade quickly but this seems to have a better durability than most. It also leave my hair soft and glossy but not greasy like some others.

This is my trustworthy product for years. Due to it is being a foam it is super easy to use and the coverage is just perfect. The colour is vivid and if it would not be to my fast growing hair (yeii) I would not need to use it again for 2 months even. Due to the grey roots I am using it monthly. The easiest application I ever tried and perfect for home useage. My hair gets so shiny and soft from it for weeks. The best home dye I ever used.

Using a red hair dye has larger molecules so it is expected that it will fade after several washes however my hair faded after two washes and b4 I'd finished using the conditioner that's meant to extend the lifetime of the colour. The application was in fact much easier with the foam and I got a lovely even coverage but I don't like to redye my hair often so I won't be using this brand again.
