Naturally MedOlive Wood Rustic Trivet

Arrived in time but damaged, the edging was coming away ( around 2cm length ). I would have returned it and asked for a replacement but as I live it France, this is always an expensive option so I super glued it back into place and hope it will be ok. The trivet itself is nice but smaller than I expected ( 17.5 cm long and 13 cm wide ) I found it hard from the description on Amazon to know how big it was before ordering but most people seemed to say it was fairly large. I don't think it is big enough to rest a decent sized saucepan on and certainly not a casserole dish but it's ok for what I use it for which is to rest a ceramic cafetiere on. It cost me as much in delivery to France as the trivet itself cost, so for me it turned out to not be particularly good value but it is attractive and if you order it in the UK and get free delivery, then it's worth having.

The trivet itself has a good grain and is a decent thickness. My real disappointment is that the piece I have has no bark around the edge. I believe it has been sanded down as it is completely smooth. I do understand this is a natural product and that it can differ from the picture shown but not having any roughness to it makes if feel more like something that has been mass produced rather than hand crafted. Maybe I was just unlucky with the piece sent out to me, but ultimately, a lesson learned in not buying 'natural' craftwares without seeing actual pictures of the item.

This arrived within a couple of days.It's a beautiful piece of wood. Not round as pictured - but it's a natural product, sort of oval shaped, it sits beautifully on my work top and looks so much nicer than the cheap rubbish metal spiral trivet I had before.This would make a lovely gift as I'm sure the rest of the olive wood range would too. This is my first purchase from the range and I would happily buy more olive would products now.

I used it to cover a hole in the wall which was bigger than the base of the light I was putting up. It is a lovely piece of wood and I can understand why all the other reviews are so positive as well.

My husband really likes this trivet. He's into rustic-looking items and it is a good weight and feels quite hefty but very practical. Good, speedy service from the vendor and a very lovely product.

Smells and Looks beautiful, but beware as each piece is unique. Mine has a knotted hole in the middle which cheese crumbs can fall though!However, it was perfect out of the box and no need for oiling.

Great, being disabled and living on my own, the trivet is ideal if I go from kitchen to lounge and the plate is too hot, I can put it down without marking the table surface.
