How long does the seed last, can you still use it next year if you order too much ???

Hi We are buying these seeds 10kg bag to reseed our garden,just wondering what best type of soil to put down after scraving the garden?

The main thing is to make sure the soil has been sterilised (ie. heat treated) to make sure you don't import any weeds into the area. As far as type of soil then you need to try and get hold of something called RootZone which is a mixture of soil and sand that has been sterilised and mixed - your local golf course should be able to tell you who supplies it locally.

Is there a time of year (apart from winter of course) when seed cannot be sewn & expected to grow?

its more to do with the growing conditions rather than specific times of year. Firstly the soil temperature must be above 7 degrees. Secondly, it must be sown prior to a period of sustained rainfall. If it is blue sky weather then unless you use a sprinkler on the area for long periods of time then the seed will struggle to germinate and grow. I can't stress enough how important rain is in the whole process, it really is the key.
