womens DC Comics Deluxe Supergirl Costume

Wow! This was an amazing costume. First, let me say I am a bit over 6'1" and about 190lb so this costume was the perfect length in the arms and skirt; however, I am not blessed with a bust so it was entirely too big there - but a few little sowing spots and I was able to keep it from drooping too much. Everyone loved this costume! I got a lot of compliments on it, even to this day! For people thinking of buying this, it is truly a plus size costume - but I needed the sizing because of my height and it delivered on that front. The boot toppers were great but they tended to fall a lot. I wore socks underneath so they didn't come completely down but I tugged on them a lot to keep them up. Also, I wear a women's and men's 12 so they didn't even cover half my foot but it was beside the point because people never look down at your feet, especially since I was behind a counter working at a Subway. It did not get too hot despite being a velvety like texture and long sleeves. I am generally cold blooded but working in a Subway you can sweat and I didn't feel too uncomfortable or hot in this, which is a blessing! I did run into some trouble when bending over - the skirt comes up a lot so I had to bend at the waist when getting something from the ground level, no big deal just a bit flustering. All in all, I would still give this a 5/5 stars because I ordered a plus size costume knowing I would have to alter it slightly because of my frame. The belt was great because I just tied it behind my back and it cinched the costume nicely (bonus, the cape hides that!!). This is the best costume for the money as well, it is a bargain compared to what I would have spent on a costume in my size!! Just know, you will truly feel like Supergirl in this! this costume fit comfortably and true to size. i am 6 foot tall, and it wasn't to short (my opinion) the material was soft with a good stretch to it so if it needed to fit someone larger then me it defiantly would, or even a bit smaller then me. this was the second costume i purchased, the first was from a different web site, and it was so cheap and just not good quality. Im glad i found this one, i even paid less for it then i did the first. I'm a Artist, and during the Fall and Spring our town has what we call a Art Walk, for all the local Artist to show their art and hopefully make a sale, but we recently started doing themes. out latest theme was Super Heroes and thanks to amazon, i think i looked amazing! a side note, the boot covers did not fit my legs, they were kinda small for being +size. but i added to them and made them work.

I ordered the Secret Wished DC Comics Supergirl Plus Size Adult Costume. I'm 5'7" and a size 16 or 18 (currently shrinking). The costume seems to be very well made. The skirt and cape are super shiney but not made of the plastic so many of us grew up with. The top has a very velvety feel and the sleeve cuffs are lined with a shiney gold trim. I plan to participate in a halloween race and need a costume that won't get in the way or be too warm (I live in a warm climate). FIT: The top was way too big for me and I normally wear a 38D. I would need to have the top altered at the shoulders (an inch per shoulder seam!) to make the top fit. That seemed rather excessive to me. The skirt was the perfect length! Since I will be participating in a run, I want to wear my compression/ running shorts under the skirt. The skirt came to about mid-thigh which covered my running shorts nicely. The torso of the dress is a little short. If you have a long torso like me, this could be a little difficult fit. Lastly, I would say that I thought the sleeves would make the dress a little too hot to use for a race in a warm climate. Maybe I'm wrong and will later wish I didn't return this costume. I should also say that I did not even remove the belt or shoe covers from the package since I decided not to keep this costume.

Costume was just a little small for the size but was a great deal . Including the belt ,cape and boot covers . I was definitely pleased with the price and look and feel ..

It's a pretty good costume as far as plus size Halloween costumes go. It was affordable and modest and cute. However it was too large in the bust, which as a 38DD almost never happens to me, and got a bit scandalous at times. It was also a bit wide in the neck area and my bra straps kept showing, which was annoying. Fiddling with the top of my costume all night is not how you want to spend Halloween, so I ended up just wearing footie pajamas instead. The boot covers were kinda pathetic, but they actually went up around my giant calves, which is a feat in and of itself. I found it nearly impossible to keep the belt in place, it kept riding up. The rest of the costume fit beautifully. I'm 5'3" and typically wear a 16/18 or 1x and it hit me just above the knee. The sleeves were too long, but I have short arms. It's made out of really good material for a Halloween costume and the cape was awesome. It was a decent costume, but I just had a few too many problems to make it worth actually wearing.

I bought this to wear to a ComicCon this weekend. I felt so confident and amazing in it! A well known comic book artist, John Romita Jr. told me he LOVED my costume.(pictured). As others have mentioned, the belt was about 4 inches too big. I had sew it so it wouldn't move around. I would not recommend wearing the boot covers at all. I bought a pair of red boots here on amazon that worked perfect. There is no way I was going to get those boot covers over them. I would give this costume a 4.5 Just because of the belt and the boot covers. For reference, I'm 5 foot,155 lbs. This costune was also extremely comfortable. This is really exceeded my expectations!

I am 5'2, 210 lbs - typically about a size 18. I was a little leery about purchasing this because of the mixed reviews, but I'm really glad I did. The quality is really nice, not as cheap as most inexpensive adult costumes. The superman patch is sewn on, not glued and the top is really soft crushed velvet-like material. For me, being only 5'2, the skirt is pretty much as pictured on the model. I am choosing to wear tights under the costume, as I am wearing this to a mother/son Halloween party with my young child and I know I'll be doing a lot of bending but I think I could get away without them. The only complaint I have about it is that the arms and rib cage area are a bit tight. I know I have larger arms than most and it still fits, just a bit snug. I am going to be wearing black flat boots and the shoe covers are super tight on them so I don't anticipate them falling down. Overall, I really like the costume.
