Delicious!
I decided to take a leap of faith and order this particular brand of Ossetra Caviar, and I must say, the experience from the moment it arrived was impressive. The packaging was not only appealing but also efficient, with ice ensuring the caviar stayed perfectly chilled during transit. Despite having perused numerous reviews, I was eager to form my own opinion. Upon opening the tin, I was greeted by beautifully formed pearls, each one boasting a rich color that heightened my anticipation. Armed with my mother-of-pearl spoon, I took my first taste, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. That initial spoonful was a moment to cherish; the pearls were round and firm, bursting with flavor as I savored them. With my eyes closed, I relished the creamy, buttery texture that reminded me of the finest Beluga caviar, which only added to the overall ‘WOW’ factor of this delicacy. Given the price point and the quality of Ossetra, it’s an exceptional find. I’m already planning to stock up for the Christmas festivities, envisioning the caviar served alongside traditional blini and all the classic accompaniments.

We loved it! Fantastic buttery taste!
Now this is the most expensive caviar we ever bought, so we can’t compare to $200-1000 an ounce caviar. But we can say it was extremely good. No fish taste. Very little salt. And it had such a buttery taste that it was just fantastic to eat! We normally add a tiny bit of chopped onion and egg on top of our cheaper, saltier caviar, but with this...we ate it right on a cracker. It would be a shame to add anything to it. I’d love to eat this every week, but at over $100 a can we will save these for special occasions a couple times a year. Definitely will be buying again! And no we didn’t eat it on a paper plate. :) I was just trying to open the can and not get it all over. I wasn’t sure if it was a twist off or lift off. It’s a lift off in case anyone wants to know.

Not for me
Certainly not the best Caviar in the world, but is caviar. A bit overly salty (I know), kind of a muddy texture. Taste was fishy (I know), but not special in any way. It was ok Caviar in my opinion, but have had way better.

Decadent and delicious
Wanted to spoil myself and buy some caviar to eat during New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year. I am no caviar connoisseur in any way. I’ve normally eaten cheap caviar that is more like semi hard tiny granules of salty fishy water that pop in your mouth. This was very nice. As soon as I opened it, there’s as no fishy smell. The small but not minuscule beads of shiny golden, ashy, almost green, brown roe really looked like candy. And they were like soft, salted buttery agar jellies. I ate them in such a ghetto manner: Pringles and sour cream. I could have eaten the entire 3 ounces in one sitting, but I restrained myself. Anyhoo, I liked it, but I’m sure you more caviar experienced eaters could teach me better. The one thing I hated, was how much of a pain it was to open the darn canister. I didn’t want to have the can to flop open out of my hands and clumsily rain $125 worth of fish eggs all over the kitchen counter. I was careful and after almost 10 minutes, ajar’d the lid. Jeez, that was scary. Anyhoo, very good. Recommended.

A Beautiful Caviar!
Wonderfully mild and nutty. Not like many Osetras where you literally taste the sea- not that I don't like that I do. But this is a beautifully calm caviar, black and mysterious yet beautifully sits on the tongue and lets you know where it's from. Will buy again!

Soggy
I really like caviar. Because it is expensive, I don't buy it often. I got this for Christmas. The canister did not have a turning handle to open this difficult canister. The caviar was soggy. so disappointing! I introduced it to some people who never had caviar before and I was embarrassed. I paid $125.00. What a waste! I have bought lumpfish caviar at a supermarket for $35.00 and It was great! Don't waist you $$!
