Best on the market
This is made here in the USA (rare these days) by a Veteran owned company. I have been using this for several days now.The material is strong and sturdy, and the swing arm clips are an upgrade from the previous pins. I believe they listened to the customer and made the change. You won't have to worry about them falling outThere is so much this product can do besides using it as a cant hook and the Timberjack. I encourage you to watch the videos as you can see how easy it is to assemble and use. So for me, it is the best one I have ever used.My previous one, you screwed the handles together and I bent it real bad to where the screw was pulling our out of the pipe. It was not a large tree. You will not have to worry about that with this one. It is well designed and easy to put together. My favorite piece it the log hauler. You do not have to bend over any more and get back aches hauling the cut logs to your vehicle Very easy to use, their videos show 4 ways to get the hook to release. This tool you just stoop down and let it catch on the log and lift it up with you legs. Carry it where you want it. I use a maul to split my wood. So using this tool, I was able to haul the log to my stump. Once there I turned it over and grabbed it again and lifted up on the stumps and went to work. Today I did eight logs, no back aches! You can also use to haul away the branches, again no back pain. The cant hook is designed to grab the fallen tree and with the extended arm, it moves it like it a twig. I was moving some large tree parts. You don't have to keep trying to get it to hook on the trunk. The design grabs it on the fist go.The other great thing about this tool is the timber jack. This lifts the tree so you can make a clean cut and not touch the ground. With this you do not have to roll the tree to continue the cut you started. It save your chain and you can keep cutting. For the money, it is worth it. This will be the last cant hook you will buy. I am so glad I took the risk and bought it. (JW)

Great product!
This is great, strong and durable. Saves a lot of back aches and easily lifts larger logs out of the dirt for easy chainsaw work.

Robust but expensive
So it's a very expensive, seemingly very simple tool. It bites into logs exceptionally well, it does allow you to carry small logs with greater ease than if you were to pick them up by hand, and it's pretty rugged in build. So far, nothing has broken and I've been using it to roll 22 inch, 8 foot long pine logs. It does get difficult to get leverage with it when using it as a cant seeing as it has a relatively short extension handle. For the price, you'd think you get short and long handle extensions. I am using it for more than just firewood logs, which can be bucked into shorter lengths and presumably are smaller in diameter, but the stand didn't work all that well for me when I was cutting firewood, while having to get trunks out of the dirt, it didn't exactly keep itself on the stand and handle like it's supposed to, perhaps it's user error, as I am bucking on uneven terrain. All around solid tool, heavy, but in a robust and worthwhile way, just wish it came with a longer extension, especially for what it costs.

A little pricy, but worth every penny
This beast is so durable that when I use it I know it can handle whatever I can. I purchased this combo kit because I bent my last log cant (an off-the-shelf basic model from Tractor Supply Co) into a pretzel while trying to set up logs for bucking and wanted something durable enough that I wouldn't have to worry about structural limits. I am very impressed with the results. This thing is good and hefty, and LogOx did not skimp on materials - every one of the components is nice and solid. Assembly was so straightforward and simple that I was able to put it all together with just one hand while on the phone with someone in just a few minutes. I assembled all three components and use it for bucking up firewood and post-length timber. In practice, this thing is practically unstoppable. I am cutting up mostly hemlock and beech trees ranging from 6" to 24", and if I'm strong enough to lever the tree up into a stable cutting position, the LogOx is strong enough to hold it there securely. I am very impressed with the design of the biting hook as there is absolutely NO slippage, even with beastly-sized trees (in contrast to my experience with other brands where I would see trees fall out halfway through my levering process). If the tree fits inside the LogOx's mouth, it can hold it up no problem. For trees too heavy to lift up using human muscle, I had no problem using front-end loader to position a tree in its jaws and it did just fine. I think the modular design does a lot to aid longevity as any excess force is passed along to the different pins/bolts used to hold the components together rather than warping the entire frame of the product. The two critiques of the LogOx I have to offer are:1. I wish the shaft extension was longer, or a longer option could have been ordered, for added leverage (nothing is wrong with the current option but sometimes a guy just wants a bigger toy).2. I had issues with the bolt/cotter-pin assembly used to hold the timberjack feet in place and quickly lost a bolt/pin combo out in the field because it kept coming loose and falling out while I was working. Ultimately I was able to resolve the issue with an appropriately-sized bolt/washer/nut combo and have had great success since. This is NOT indicative of bad craftsmanship but is more a design flaw/user error. I primarily intend to use this for bucking wood and will likely never take the feet off, but I understand that when designing this product they intended it for a variety of users who may give it a different job. If you plan to do heavy bucking work, I recommend you use something more permanent than a bolt/cotter-pin combo for piece of mind.

A good sturdy log jack
I bought this tool mainly to use as a log jack. I have 3 other log jacks, and they all suffer from problems. One problem common to them all is that when used out in the woods they are not stable. On a soft woodland floor they all tend to twist as the log is rolled onto them and the result is just not very satisfactory. So, I was attracted to this product by the 'big foot', and I'm pleased to say it does work for me. The large flat bearing area of the foot keeps the jack square to the ground and to the log. Also, the log goes a bit more 'over-centre' by the time the handle touches the ground then on other designs, and is accordingly supported more securely. This is in part down to the relatively short handle so that the axis of the body slopes down from the log towards the end of the handle when the log is resting on the jack. The product looks well designed and is very strongly built.

Excellent value and quality, !!
Unfortunately I carn’t give it 5 stars, because I think personally that it is quite heavy to start with, but it does work very well and quality is excellent, I have tried unsuccessfully to get the extra components to make it into the timber Jack, sadly,!!!

Work Beast. Solid Unit
Works great.I used it mostly to tip up felled trees for blocking and sizing lumber logs, after limbing the tree full length. Keeps the tree out of the sand and saves the saw chain. It does not bend even when i lift 12 inch and bigger logs that are 20 and 30 feet long. The foot tips them up without bending. It lifts blocks of wood for stacking and moving very well, as a hand held block mover. But it is bit heavy for that job. But it will never break, and it does do the job well on larger blocks. It was a lot if money for what it is. But I'm glad i got it. It really helped me clean up after a hurricane in Canada. I had to clean up a lot of fallen, uprooted and leaning trees. 20 cord of fire wood and 130 lumber logs. I got sick of working with no tools to help move stuff and ordered this best. It's a life time job purchase. I dont know quality of cheaper units as I have never seen or handles any others before. But reviews of the cheaper models talk of them bending the handles or lift foot etc. This will not bend. I lifted 12- 18 inch 20 and 30 foot long logs, wet spruce with it.... rock solid.Worth the money i say.
