250027106 Even Feed/Walking Presser Foot - Fork

I purchased this as I've wanted a walking foot for some time now. I have a Brother XR9550 and I was unsure if this would work. I initially installed incorrectly. I installed with the handle below the needle clam screw and got errors when trying to sew. Realized my error and reinstalled the ark on top of the screw and it sewed just find. Check out the video. Ignore the tangled thread on the back of the fabric, I was sewing with one hand and couldn't straighten the thread. Edit: After some playing around I noticed that I could not get the fabric to go in or under the foot like I could on a normal foot. So what I realized is that the feed dogs from the walking foot are close to the feed dogs on the actual machine. So in order to get your fabric to slide through for the initial so you will need to make sure that your feed dogs on the machine are down, once you do that you'll be able to slide your fabric and without any issues then place your foot down and then proceed to sew as normal.

Love it! Works great. Easy to install. Recommended to me by a professional seamstress and I'm so glad that I followed her advice.

Huge help top stitching wool layers. Glad I got this, game changing on winter coats and thick fabric layers. Not the easiest to install but doable.

recently getting back into sewing and was working with a stretchy velvet fabric and this was great for that! I use it pretty much every time i’m sewing and it’s easy to install!!

Works exactly as it should. I used on the first quilt I’ve ever made and it held all the fabrics like a charm.

Works well as an add on foot. I've been using it with cotton-backed vinyl upholstery fabric and Sunbrella without any problems.

I have always had issues with my machine eating my fabric when I back stitch and once I got this it has made my sewing experience so much more pleasant. My feet teeth on my machine are a little high so it can grab the fabric too tight and this makes it so much easier. I keep this foot on the machine all the time now.

This is the perfect addition to your sewing machine if you want to quilt on your regular machine. It allowed me to do just that with such ease.

Very easy to use, installation quick and difference to quality of stitches very much improved for those stretchy or sheer materials that seem to move independently no matter how many pins you put in. Singer quality for my Singer machine.
