Bone Broth Beef Protein Powder - 1.25 lb, Unflavored - Grass Fed Bovine

Over the years, I grew tired of doing 30-hour preparations in CrockPots and extensive separation of broth from these ingredients after those 30 hours (and disposing of the detritus!!), and I have tried numerous organic, beef "bone broths." This product from YounGlo tastes the best (and has lower sodium, too). I take my hot green tea or just hot water and while swirling it with a spoon, tap the tilted scoop to add the powder a bit at a time. It makes a tasty, clear broth. update, Oct 11, 2019. I am perplexed by a few comments about "clumping", so I have added a sequence of photos. 1st photo is taken after I added a scoop to hot green tea, while stirring. A few clumps are visible. 2nd photo shows how I press a clump against the side of the cup with the spoon - the clump disintegrates and dissolves, rapidly. 3rd photo is the resulting clear broth. Enjoy! Update - when I wrote my original review, the product was an off-white color and I discovered through trial-and-error that it went with a fine, hot, Japanese green tea. About 6 months ago, YounGlo changed the formulation of this product because some people complained about the bucolic aroma. The 2nd formulation looked like a mixture of some off-white flakes and some brown flakes. It DID NOT taste good with hot Japanese green tea. I tried numerous teas and finally found that it went well with Triple Leaf brand white tea. Great! Now - YounGlo has again changed the formulation and I have not found ANY hot tea that goes with it. Today, i discovered that dissolving this formulation in strong green tea (e.g., Gunpowder Green) --- once it has been allowed to cool to room temperature tastes flat. Not so enjoyable as either of the prior formulations. Fudge! Not 5 stars any more. FYI - this is the best substitute for "NutriJoint" gelatin that I have found, although it obviously has better nutritional content than NutriJoint gelatin did. I liked NutriJoint because it dissolved (or dispersed easily) in room-temperature water. (NutriJoint gelatin is no longer marketed, that I can find) update, April 2022 - Younglo, after months of not being able to ship their product (COVID19-related supply-chain issues), they are shipping again and the light-brown powder now tastes like the previous version, which goes well with white tea. 5 stars, again, from me.

I read many reviews of bone broth powder. At first I was looking for a soup or to make a soup since I like that and it would fill me up. But many of those types I read about were either not a great deal of flavor worth making it a soup or weird flavor adding it to something else. So then I searched for just a flavorless powder and that was hard to find. I was really happy to read and encounter for myself that this powder has no smell or flavor really. I have read what folks have added it to and many have put in their coffee. I love my coffee and don't wish to mess with it so I took the advice of others and did just that. I also took the advice to wait before hastily mixing as it does clump. It is very easy to get the clumps mixed or mash against the side of the mug and it mixes easily. The only difference to my coffee that I noticed is it became a little salty. So I just add a little more honey to offset that. I have also added to a homemade fruit smoothie with coconut water, no flavor. I have made a large smoothie to dole out to the family and happy to know they are getting a natural boost of protein with this. I will certainly continue to use and purchase this product again when time. I bought it to get some healthy protein boost to my diet as I don't have a lot of time to make high protein meals and don't like a lot of the protein bars. Also, making food for kids means a lot more carbs then straight protein so this is helping me with that.

I purchased this bone broth because of the great reviews. I have digestion problems and am hoping this will help. My Healthcare professional said it takes up to 6 months to see the full benefits if you use this everyday. It has not quite been a month yet. I love the fact that one scoop has 22 grams of protein in it and I can use it in anything warm or hot. It is unflavored but does have a broth like smell to it. But when you taste it, it doesn't have any flavor which is great. I have tried it in my coffee, soup, ramen, smoothie, etc and am happy with it. When dissolving it, make sure you use a whisk with hot water to get all the lumps out and dissolved. It does leave a foam when you are done. I usually make it up at night and then put it in the fridge for the next day if I am using it cold. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of it not easily dissolving. I will reorder it again. I also traveled with it on a plane in my checked luggage, and sealed the container in a zippered freezer bag. I had no problems with it at all. So happy to have found this gem!

I was looking to boost my daily gram intake of protein and can't use whey protein as it screws up my guts. This product has done the job well and seems to be the best deal going... by far. At first the taste was a problem as others state but I found a trick that works for me, mix with 5 -8 oz of water and a few oz's of beet juice along some lemon, I use about an oz or Concret lemon lime creatine HCL which is another fantastic product. A handful of frozen blueberries goes well also. Hope this helps someone

This is a clean, neutral tasting and smelling, easy to dissolve bone broth. I add salt to taste (often some Redmond’s Re-lyte electrolytes). I made a cozy mug of bone broth with this powder nearly every morning of our summer road trip and thoroughly enjoyed each cup. I ordered another container of bone broth powder but was upset to find the consistency, texture, and smell/taste of the product was different than my first container. I contacted customer service and they promptly looked into the batch quality. In the meantime, they refunded my purchase and sent a smaller container (from another batch). They have since determined my container likely was subjected to moisture but this issue seems isolated to my container rather than the whole batch. I highly recommend this product and will personally continue using this convenient and tasty broth. Great company, quality product, excellent customer service. 5 out of 5 stars!

I have no problems with the product itself. My problem is because I am A small person, trying to open up the jar lid hurt my arm, it hurt my wrists, and it hurt my fingers and if I try to compensate and put my arm and shoulder up so I wouldn't hurt my wrist and fingers it would just compromise my muscles up to my neck! so it's very painful to open its for a very large hand to open successfully I finally had to hug the jar and open it that way but I'm probably going to be changing the product to a different jar that is just crazy how much pain it was to open up a damn jar. People do not understand how other people live and how difficult what seems to be normal activities of living is really difficult for some people. I have never had this experience before and I didn't even know that I would have pain from something like this. So honestly I don't know if I will be purchasing this item again simply because of the plastic jar lid! Plus it doesn't say if the plastic is safe to eat out of.....as a second thought.... But really.. i am hurting after 15 minutes and this is very unusual. I don't have any product with this large of a lid. Ouch! 🤤😟😠 The product does contain a lot more sodium than I thought it would however I don't taste the salt nor any flavor from the bone broth itself.

Dissolves quickly. Nice addition to soup or actual bone broth. Spice it up to taste. Very happy with price and product

***Update*** I have been using this product for a while now and never had problems with smell or taste. But this last one was awful! The powder looked kind of yellow instead of the off-white. And the taste and smell were both like rotten bones! It made me want to vomit and gave me mild diarrhea any time I used it. I dont know if I got just got a bad one but it was sooo bad I'll not be risking buying these ever again. So this product goes from 5 stars to 1 star for me. ***Original Review*** Ive been using this bone broth powder for a few months now and it is great! All my joint pain is gone, my skin is smooth and soft, and my immune system is the best of the household! I used to be the one who got sick first and have it the worst but since Ive veen on this my husband and son got sick and I never got it. I add it to my daily smoothies and it works great. A couple of times Ive added it to hot tea. Like other people said it does clump when added to hot water but over time it did dissolve so I didnt find that to be a problem. Also my last order had leaked powder during shipping. I contacted the company and explained what happened and they immediately sent out a new one that got here in 2 days. So great customer service for a great product at a great price!
