Works like a charm, saved me a lot of money

Our hvac system went down this past month and my husband fixed it himself. The only issue we ran into was the correct wiring from this product to our existing unit.

I'm using it to control a water recirc pump in a hydronic heating system. Unfortunately its easy to tell when it turns on as there's an incredibly loud click. The house is still being built, but I can easily hear it when in another room w/ ear muffs on! After I get everything finished, I'll probably replace it with another relay/transformer to try to get it quiet, but for now it accomplishes it's purpose. It provides 24v for my thermostat and turns on/off the 120v pump attached to per the thermostat's signal.

If you are converting and need simple solution, this is it!

Used device as interface between a two wire hot water boiler and a three wire thermostat. Works as stated, loud click when relay activates. Relay gets hot when energized for a while. Documentation states assembly will fit in a 4X4 box. It does with a little bit of help and bending of some small metal tabs at bottom or relay. Partially required due to parts I could find to make metal box to fit relay assembly that is 2.5 inches deep. Used a metal box so it doesn't melt and it helps to dissipate heat. I added the thermostat and ground wires in photos. In the end it works as needed, being used for designed purpose and is located where the noise doesn't bother any one.

Kenmore Power Miser 80 Used it for this old furnace and worked right away. No issues after a few months. Wiring is just like in the photo. No complaints.
