A must-have accessory for the XLR-H1 Handle
If you're using your Sony top-handle without this, you're missing out on what should have been included by Sony. The additional cold shoe mount and 1/4-20 threads are very handy if you're mounting a light, microphone, or other camera accessories (don't go too heavy though, as the handle is still made of plastic. The additional rigidity and protection it offers to the top handle should provide some peace of mind. This is best used with the handle extension, which offers even more mounting points.

Must-Have product for your FX3/FX30
I use this on my FX3 every day and it's well made and quite handy. I attach my Senheiser G3 mic pack to this and it keeps everything nice and tidy. Get this with the handle extension piece and you've got a great solution!

adds utility weight and protection
I purchased a refurbished top handle that was broken at the xlr module. I think having this installed will reinforce the weak point.aside from that, the cold shoe and 1/4" threaded holes give you a perfect place to put a camera hop or timecode box.

Almost perfect
Great product but it’s really hard to access the input selector. I use a hex key to do it faster. Personally I don’t switch the audio input during a shoot after the initial setup so I’m ok with it.

Great but has one flaw
I really like SmallRig products and this one fills a need that Sony should have added, the cold shoe mount on top. But with the Top Plate mounted it is a little fiddley to access the input selector. With my thicker fingers, I am having a hard time opening the plastic cover. Ultimate I returned it because it was driving me nuts when I am under pressure and can't access the switch fast. Might not be a dealbreaker for you if you hardly use the switch but I use it often enough to be annoyed by it. Maybe SmallRig fixes that in an updated version. I would buy it again because I like the expansion.
