Hope if you are purchasing this product that you read this review. I love the way this coffee maker looks, but it is has some wiring issues. When I first got it I set the time and the timer so I could use the auto brew feature. I don’t drink brewed coffee everyday. I also have an espresso maker and prefer that sometimes. What has happened is that the coffee maker will turn itself on and brew even though I have not turned on the auto brew feature. Fortunately I have been home when that’s happened and it’s happened several times. If there is no water in the coffee maker (because you don’t plan on brewing) it poses a serious fire hazard. A few days after I received this coffee maker I left town. It was before this issue began. For some reason I unplugged some appliances in the kitchen. Something I don’t normally do but I am so glad I did. Because when I returned this problem started happening. I can only imagine what might have happened had I not unplugged it and it had mysteriously turned itself on to brew. I just want others to be aware. I have since unplugged it and will probably only use it to brew coffee when I’m home and only plug it in when I’m ready to do that. . I wish I still had the packing… I would return this but I at least want others to be aware. I really don’t know how it is doing this… I have never had a coffee maker with an auto brew feature do it, but it absolutely is. It got to the point where I started putting just water in without coffee and double checking and triple checking that I had not engaged the auto brew feature and every time it turned itself on and tried to brew.

Okay...color and design are exquisite. So that is why I gave it a 5. However, the warming plate function is an issue. It cracked from the heat I believe. So now , after brewing I turn the coffee maker off asap. This one I hope to register on product site Nostalgia. But it is soooo pretty! Goes with my Nostalgia pink microwave.

(Read after note. Beware buying used! This one was new.)I like it. It's pink! Slightly peachier than the photo shows. It's big, but it's lightweight. Yes it's plastic. I think everything in a pretty color is.It made a good cup of coffee.Like somebody else said, the top does pop open when you put the pot in and out. The little spring thing where it drips out bounces up when you put it back in, and makes the lid pop up if it's not locked.I only used it once, I had no problem with the brewing.I'm just thinking maybe I should have gotten the aqua like the rest of my Nostalgia. I painted my cabinets pink and aqua pearl.I love my Nostalgia toaster and mini air fryer in aqua! Really wanted something in pink.I know other people had problems with the operation of theirs. Or breaking early. I don't know, because I'm not keeping it.Carafe is a decent thickness. And there's big enough spaced in in the back to pour the water without spilling it.***Note! I bought it used "like new" in aqua. And the water poured out of the bottom immediately, all over my kitchen counter top! Do not buy used!There was no instruction book either, which would have been minor.They probably just resold it even though it was defective. Disappointed 😞

It's gorgeous and matches my Nostalgia microwave and toaster perfectly! In great condition too, I could tell it had been used only by the coffee stains on the filter, but otherwise it looks like new!
