Works a treat on aluminium and wood
Not so good on mild steel

Cheap and cheerful
Cheap me cheerful. Does the job but doubt it would be any good for a professional. That said if you want to use it occasionally as I do it’s fine.

Centre punch
Seem to be of good quality, only been used to mark centre holes in wood so can’t comment on the hardness of the point on metal surfaces

Sometimes the mechanism doesn't catch so it doesn't "punch". For the price and how often I lose my center punches these are great for me.
