Brixton Men's Messer Medium Brim Felt Fedora Hat

The Braxton Men’s Messer hat I ordered (in medium,) fits wonderfully and turned out to be a beautifully refined, quality item. My husband and son wear it often, and it seems to be wearing well. The fabric is also as expected, no frays or crumpling. Overall we are very happy with our purchase! The only advice I can give you in ordering is that the hat is a bit larger overall, (check the measurements,) but the fit is almost true to size. It seems to run just a bit big, but still my son/husband both say they wouldn’t have ordered a smaller size.

This hat is amazing! The medium brim is perfect - I have a small head and every other brim hat I've tried looks like I'm a kid wearing their grandpas hat. Just a smidge large on the sizing so take into account how snug you want it to fit on your head.Word of warning though, if you order this, try to order it as the only item so you have less of a chance of getting one squashed to hell and unwearable! The first hat I ordered was GREAT. But the second came with a few other items and it was packed badly - the brim and sides were squashed in and unable to be put back into any kind of decent shape.

Nice hat, make sure to measure your head before ordering. I usually order an XL in hats, so I did, and it was way too big. I took my measurement and ordered the proper size. Fits great, very comfy, seems to be of high quality.

Wonderful hat and well made, but it is quite large. I generally buy XX-large for my husband and got one size smaller, as was suggested by reviewers. It was still quite large on him. We sized it down with Velcro (or 3M's version of it), I found information about using that online. You buy the sticky back kind, and just use the fuzzy side. I also found if you want to use the foam strips for sizing: yes, you can use weather stripping, a type called 'open cell' (as opposed to closed cell). It costs less than $2 at our local hardware store. No need to pay the $20 here.After sizing the hat, it looks great on him. A caution about the color: the khaki color is not the tan we might think of as khaki, but rather a darker color; it reminds me more of the color of uniforms used in WWI. Don't be dissuaded, it is a very nice, rich color. It wasn't what I expected, but I like it even better.

Brixton manufactures excellent hats for this price point. The Messer is a wool fedora with a silky interior lining. This style runs a bit large. My size per Brixton's chart is a small. I ended up having to exchange for an extra-small and it is still a bit looser than I prefer (but this is an easy fix). I also have Brixton's Wesley Fedora which fits perfectly in an extra-small. The Messer has a somewhat slimmer, more structured brim than the quite floppy Wesley, so I don't feel like it overwhelms me. The extra small was only available in grey and black. I hope they restock some of the other other colors soon. I realize this is listed as a men's hat, but it's just as stylish for ladies. It was shipped appropriately and arrived within 48 hours.

This hat is perfect! Looks just like the picture and is even better quality than I imagined. It came flattened a little, but it didn't affect the quality and it was easy to pop it back up without issues. My new favorite accessory. I ordered a large for my big head even though I thought I might need an extra large. Large was perfect.

I absolutely LOVED this hat but when I purchased it, they only had a size Large in the gray. I wanted it so bad, I didn’t even measure my head first. Lol. I had to eventually sell it on Poshmark because it just fit too loose/big. I have a 22 inch head so the medium would’ve fit much better. But it truly is a stylish hat and I always got compliments the few times I wore it. It says men’s but definitely a unisex piece.Not meant for outdoor summer activities though, this hat gives no room for air since it is dense. Expect heat and sweat.

So I bought the wrong size at first and had a small sent to me the next day. These are sold as the same hat but have differences that I can’t say I’m excited about. The medium was great but the small has a ugly blank metal emblem on the leather instead of the leather B. The tag underneath is different, the brim seems to be flimsier & there’s a part on the back that isn’t smooth. the small is adjustable but the medium isn’t. Also be sure to have something else shipped with your hat or they’ll send it in a box that’s too small and leave the hat not looking smooth. Id say I’m 70% satisfied with my purchase but could have gotten a cheaper one for the same quality I bet
