Perfect
So far so good. I’m a logic x user. This works just like a Mackie Control Universal which is what I’ve used for 10+ years. What’s great is that it has the smaller form factor of the avid artist mix/euphonix mc mix. I never liked Eucon as I’m far more comfortable using the mcu protocol because I know it inside and out. I also have a custom built desk with my master midi keyboard built in. So between me and my MCUs is my 88 key midi keyboard and then an apple keyboard, which makes reaching my MCU a bit of a stretch. My desktop can slide over my midi keyboard, but even with that, my mcu v-pots always feel a little out of reach. The size of the platform m is perfect though. I can even reach the v-pot why playing my keyboard. Love the color as well. Faders are solid and not loud at all on playback. Setup is really easy and automatic. You don’t even have to set the midi port in Logic. I’m still waiting for my platform b+ to arrive but then I think I’ll be all set. Going to be nice to have more space in the desk and to get my computer monitors a few inches closer to my eyes. Bravo to everyone at icon. Been waiting for this exact product for years ever since the euphonix mc line came out!

Take a chance! I’m glad I did!!!!
Small footprint! Works great!!! Super happy with it! I run Logic Pro X and it’s great for my small studio! I ignored all the old bad reviews, took a chance and am glad I did! The firmware has been updated so some YouTube videos are not relevant.

Customer Support Not Great; Driver Issues cause intermittent function / disconnections
**** Revised Review *** 3 stars to 4 stars. New firmware was issued for the Icon Pro which has vastly improved connection to my DAW (Cubase) Previously I would battle with the unit not being recognised. This is now a non-issue. Hardware continues to work very well. Connection is Stable Small note (as with other controllers) - this unit (like others) creates MIDI data, so be specific with selecting MIDI input channels for MIDI tracks. I still rate customer support as average, but they did fix the main issues I was having. Given a recent question asked about button illumination colour, I have added a picture of this. Pros: Solid build, Motorised faders, Good Control Surface Cons: Generic Driver frequently disconnects. Firmware Update Utility doesn't work. Slow (possibly no) support. The unit itself is nice to use, and works well. Motorised faders track Volume automation in cubase and it controls things seamlessly. The added-Platform-D display makes it easy to see what is controlling what. This is WHEN it works. The unit uses a Generic USB driver. This seems to be easily conflicted with other devices (and I don't have many things connected to this computer apart from a sound-interface and MIDI keyboard). As a result the unit will stop working, requiring the driver to be uninstalled and reinstalled with monotonous regularity. Often the driver will not reinstall correctly if there are ANY other devices connected (necessitating all USB devices be disconnected) Incredibly frustrating, and rather Mickey-mouse implementation for such a unit. I had hoped that the problem may be fixed by a firmware update, but alas the firmware update facility does not work (despite an aparently functioning installed driver). A support ticket so far has had NO REPLIES, so I wait, with a frustrating semi-usable piece of gear. If the driver was robust, and the unit stayed connected it would be 5* great. As is, the reliability issues are a MAJOR negative, and make it so-so. I remain wondering whether I should have sprung for the Avid product instead. I guess I'll wait and see if the support ticket gets addressed.

Bad technical support
A support ticket so far has had NO REPLIES, so I wait, with a frustrating semi-usable piece of gear. The fader no working. Bad technical support. Mac OSX no drivers. I DID NOT BUY IT

User Mode Fader Response (CC Mode) is Faulty.
Solid build, nice machine. If you intend to use this in Mackiecontrol mode, you'll be pleased, as it works quite well. Where it fails is when you need feedback when it's in CC mode. Using any DAW that transmits Continuous Control messages for the fader positions will result in unexpected behavior on the unit. To date, I haven't received a solution from Icon despite making an initial connection with them on Facebook. The most notable problem is that the fader will retain it's previous position, ignoring your input. Slide the fader up and it snaps back. In addition, any control change that it's mapped to should re-position the fader, but it doesn't.

MainStage 3 Compatible!
Got this unit to serve as a physical interface to MainStage 3. As you can see in the video, it works perfectly!

Great product, does exactly what it says. Aids in mixing with your DAW. Works well with Cubase. Motor controls seem a bit weak, and only allows for 8 tracks unless you add more controllers, however still a great piece of kit and easy to use and install.

Using with Sd 833 recorder and icon display Various shortcuts easily programmed and faders can calibrated to desired sensitivity and speed. Very good controller.

Los faders están demasiado separados entre ellos. Si querés controlar un daw exp y Mod no es cómodo. Son faders precisos , de rápida conexión y configuración.
