I order a pair of Meze Audio 99 CLASSICS headphones as a Christmas gift for my son. The order process was painless, and the shipment arrived on the exact day provided by Meze Audio at the time of purchase.As a follow-up purchase, my son wanted to upgrade the headphone cables that came with the headphones ... truthfully, there was nothing wrong with the original cables, but since in his eyes the headphones were free, he decided to spend his own money for the upgraded cables.I reached out to Meze Audio to ensure we ordered the correct cables, placed the order and "bang" the cables arrived and sound fantastic.The only negative is that my son now wears his new headphones constantly, and communication is at an all time low ... or it could just be how things are with an 18 year old boy :-)

Recently purchased the 3.5 mm silver-coated upgrade cable -- regular, not balanced. Well worth the money. They upgrade the 99 Classics by a full level of sound quality. Everything improves:-Better dynamics and attack-More detail-More clarity and openness; more "bloom" on good recordings-Tighter bass-More intimate vocalsWhen I'm testing new equipment I normally only listen to the first part of each track, but the effect of these cables is so involving that I often couldn't help listening to the end.With a good DAC and headphone amp, these cables add a very noticeable level of refinement that seasoned audiophiles will recognize as "the audiophile sound".

Tout audiophile devrait faire cette mise à niveau. Ce câble donne une définition sonore grandement améliorée, une clarté sonore sans pareil et une dynamique rehaussé. Je ne regrette pas mon achat et je pense avoir plusieurs belles heures d’écoute. Si vous avez des hésitations à l’égard du prix et bien ça en vaut la peine.

Pour remplacer mes Grado 225. Et si ce n'est que de s'habituer à la différence entre une acoustique d'écouteur fermé via celle des écouteurs ouverts tel mes Grado, l'avantage de ne pouvoir déranger personne lors de ses écoutes est certain. Quant au son, Meze est la! Une salle d'écoute comme la mienne à 16K... S'oublie le temps d'une écoute au lit en fin de soirée.

... but very expensive. The wire looks great and has a nice feel to it. I am unable to tell if it is better than the stock cable because I am now using the balanced out on my Fiio M11Pro.Happy with this cable.
