Needed for inspection
Rear exterior door one was broken by previous owner. Copped this to replace it. Took a bit of adjusting to get the proper door swing. Do your measurements and mock ups prior to any drilling. Components feel heavy duty and still working today flawlessly.

1601 an Improved, Exact Replacement for Norton 9300
Parts look identical to a Norton 9300 series door closer, but with better valve adjustments: Swing, Latch, Back check, and Power/Spring strength adjustable from 1 to 6!Pretty easy to DIY install; reused the same mounting holes in my case. The instructions have all the info you need, but they aren't meticulous. Look closely to figure out which of the provided screws you really need. And be mindful of which direction you're installing. The optional bottom cap is flimsy plastic, but otherwise this product looks good and works well.

Same model my supplier sells, but with FREE shipping...
I'm a locksmith. The Norton 1601 is the go to light to medium door closer on the market and has been for years. Good price and they last years provided they're installed and adjusted correctly. Typically I buy them from my supplier when I'm buying in bulk for new construction jobs.. and usually order a couple extras to keep on hand, because I only get free shipping from my supplier on purchases of $250 or more. Then I get a customer who only needs two and I'm out of stock... I didn't want to pay shipping on that, and didn't want to order more, so I took a chance on Amazon. I'm glad I did. They were only $3 more than I usually get them for, but with FREE shipping, I probably saved about $25 bucks.
