Do they work for pureed foods?

Yes, our baby has been mainly eating homemade pureed food for the last 6 weeks. It works great for it. The spoon part itself is thinner so its pliable and it firmer toward the handle. We love it, the baby enjoys biting down on when she is teething. Its like a teething spoon. Anyway it can scoop a good amount of food for when baby is ready (old enough) for a larger spoonful.

Can these be steam sterilized?

Yes. I'm done this several times with mine. The spoons are made of silicone, which has a high melting point so steam shouldn't hurt it.

Can these be sterilized by boiling?

Yes. These are made with food grade silicone and heat resistant upto 400F.
