Many thanks to A and A for this chess set. I wanted to leave a positive review as I am very happy with it. I wanted a tournament size chess set that packs away with a fold away silicone board and this is the one. But I also really wanted quality weighted pieces with stunning designs, the give aways are making sure they have a nice weight, matt finish, feel quality, and also the design of the chessmen, in particular the knight. I think this is probably as excellent a quality chess set you can get thats made of plastic. The next level would be spending a hundred or a couple hundred on a wooden carved premium chess set. I do not think thats needed though, as this classic staunton chess set is beautiful, and I especially like the knights, well designed and detailed, but not over the top. Reminds me a little of the 1972 chess world championship set. The carry bag is also nice quality and a helpful addition to the set. It is exactly as pictured, buy with confidence.

I have only used this once so far. I'm very impressed with the quality, the silicone mat folds nicely into the case and was perfectly flat and ready to use. The pieces are a nice size and weight and the case packages everything up nicely.

Really high quality travel chess set. The pieces are the perfect size for a 20" board and nice and weighty in the hand. The only possible criticism would be that the board is a little thin and the pieces do not slide on it (the rubbery surface means that you must lift them to move). I was fully expecting this, however, as I had researched silicone chess boards before purchase. I may buy a mousepad chess board in the near future but it really isn't essential. All in all a beautiful chess set that is easy to travel with and allows full size chess play wherever you are without the inconvenience of a wooden board or the curling edges of a vinyl board. For the money I don't think you could do better.

Very pleased with the pieces, which are well designed, weighted and assembled. The board is OK, good size and with ranks and files clearly labelled, though the white squares have a brownish tint, too early to say if this is stable. Being silicone it doesn't crease, but isn't perfectly flat. The carrying case is good quality but only just big enough: the board has to be quite tightly folded to fit. The included notes on play would be useful for beginners or people returning to the game after a long interval.

I'm a professional chess player, and this product definitely exceeded my expectations. The hard carrying case makes things really easy to travel. The pieces are heavy, well-designed and polished. Black pieces have their own black bag as so for white pieces with their white bag. The silicone chessboard is has the perfect size for good matches. If you want a good chess set that will last long, definitely worth it.

Quality, heavy, perfectly moulded, large chess pieces! I don't do or usually trust reviews but this was such a good set I had to join in with the reviews. Yes, a good plastic set with an off white but nice black matt finish and a solid heavy feel. I was pleasantly surprised, not sure if £45 was a bit much for heat resistant polystyrene or whatever it claims to be. The pieces fit the board fine which is also a quality rubbery washable almost full size mat. I saw a review that compared this set to a very similar set and I'm glad I did. Great moulding, hardly visible seams with no bits catching if you get me. The Ideal set to take tournament sized travels with. If this set is what you think it is, then it's better! The pieces feel good enough to play with on a wooden board with the felt bottoms too. Lol it's hard to not make this sound made up, I now get all the other reviews! Enjoy.

I was a bit anxious waiting for this set to arrive as a few buyers had had a problem or two. But I ordered and the set came the next day. It was well packaged, the set was boxed inside, the carry case is very nice (although I probably won't use it much), the vinyl board - bigger than I expected and more flexible and soft than the one my puppy chewed to a million bits - the pieces were in two plastic bags, there were two other felt bags, stickers, an instruction booklet, a postcard and a message from the company about being satisfied - if not, an invitation to contact them was offered. I checked each piece including the base and it all looked and felt great. I love the colours, the matt finish, the weight, the design, the feel - ahh so important! - and 2 extra Queens too. My goodness, I thought I wanted 4" but 3.75" is tournament size and perfect, I thought I wanted wood but they are very expensive (and I am new to this anyway) but I am so pleased with this set at the price. I am not disappointed!

I was going to buy a "ultimate chess or best chess ever" but costing £100+ I opted for this set. When it arrived it was set up five minutes later. I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The pieces although plastic are significantly weighted and free of any moulding seems. The colour of the white pieces is a more cream with a hint of biscuit, and the black ones are just that black. All with more of a satin finish so should be easier on the eyes. The silicone board is great it rolled out perfect and had no kinks or creases. The only slight negative point (so slight I nearly didn't mention it). The felt on the base seemed quite thin and I would of preferred it to cover the whole base. To sum this up. Would I recommend this set? You bet. ☆☆ JUST BUY IT☆☆

Hola, escribo esto con la intención de ayudar a los que leen este opinión, el paquete me llegó en perfecto estado, no hubo retrasos con el envío el empaque correcto, a diferencia de varias reseñas que revisé, todo me llegó en perfecto estado el juego completo, se ve tal cual las imágenes que nos muestran no hay cambios con eso, solo tengo una pequeña queja al respecto y es, el peso del ajedrez, tengo un Ferriz triple peso el cual se me despinto de sus piezas blancas por lo cual lo cambié , la descripción marca cuádruple peso que deben portar, pero mis piezas triple peso son más pesadas que estas no por mucho es casi nada pero puede notarse lo cual fue algo que me disgustó por que esperaba fueran un poco más pesadas, tienen un buen peso en muy similar al triple peso es agradable pero si esperas sean más pesadas y eso es lo que buscas tal vez te sea un factor para decidirte entre uno y otro que tengas planeado comprar, otra cosa que puedes notar es que los caballos son un poco más grandes que unos tamaño oficial o en esta mente desconozco si haya algún problema en presentase a un torneo con uno de estos por la diferencia de tamaños o si a alguien le disguste. Conclusión: La calidad es buena, el peso es agradable aun que sean ligeramente menos pesadas de lo que deben de ser, es bonito a la vista no molesta los colores, me parece un buen kit de ajedrez por el precio siempre y cuando te llegue en perfectas condiciones, si lo que quieres es un bonito ajedrez con un estuche donde guardar tus piezas con un peso decente a un precio Justo, este es tu set, cabe aclarar que este es mi tercer ajedrez soy relativamente nuevo en esto así que si solo quieres saber si lo recomiendo o no la respuesta es, que si , suerte en su búsqueda de un ajedrez y si te has decidido por este o otro te deseo suerte y que te llegue todo en perfecto estado.

This is a beautiful chess set. Pay attention to the dimensions as this set may be big for someone used to other portable sets. I didn’t own a tournament set before so the size was a bit shocking. That said, the quality is superior, the pieces details, texture and weight makes it a pleasure to play with. The silicone mat is outstanding with no creases even when being stored folded. The mat texture feels great allowing to easily slide the pieces while providing a nice grip. Sure you may get dust, pet hair on the mat but this is no different than any other silicone surface so it can be easily wiped off. I also own a smaller electronic chess board that allows to play with apps but I often make the moves for both players using this set just for the amazing feeling. The case and bags are also of great quality and gives the set a luxury touch. I’d definitely recommend this chess set to anyone looking for a full size (big) portable option. I’m even considering getting the smaller size too for when space or weight is an issue, like traveling, coffee shops, etc.

Schon vor tausenden von Jahren wurde in Persien das Schachspiel gespielt. Der Name Schach, leitet sich vom persischen Schah (König) ab und wurde über die Jahrhunderte/Jahrtausende weltweit verbreitet. Seit dem findet man in fast jedem Haushalt eines dieser tollen und faszinierenden Bretter plus deren dazugehörigen Figuren. Auch der asiatische Anbieter “Alex.H & Abel.C“ möchte mit seinen Schachbrett Figuren die passenden Gegenstände zum schon vorhandenen Brett liefern. Das Figurenset kommt in einer optisch schlichten aber dennoch modern wirkenden Box geliefert. Diese kann wie ich finde schon locker als Geschenkbox herhalten. Nach dem öffnen befinden sich die einzelne Figuren, jeweils in schwarz und weiß unterteilt, in zwei Plastikbeuteln wieder. Dieser werden aber durch zwei ebenfalls schön anzusehenden und mit einem Kordelzug verschliessbaren Samtbeuteln ergänzt, in welche die Figuren ab sofort ihre neue Heimat finden werden. Die einzelnen Figuren sind soweit gut verarbeitet und die Details der Figuren können mit soweit sehr gut gefallen. Als besonderes Highlight gilt hier, dass jeweils eine zusätzliche Dame mitgeliefert wird, was ich dennoch als etwas unnötig erachte. Die einzelnen Figuren sind mit einem grünen Filz unterlegt damit diese auf dem Brett auch einfach gleiten können. Auch das Gewicht, welches nicht so leicht ist wie es erwartet habe, kann überzeugen und vor allem im Spiel zeugt dies, von einer gewissen Spielqualität… SEHR GUT…. Preislich gesehen sind 30 Euro für die Schachfiguren wie ich finde angemessen. Zusammenfassung: ➕ Schachfiguren aus Plastik in schwarz und weiß ➕ Jeweils eine zusätzliche Dame ➕ Filz Untergrund ➕ Figuren besitzen ein gutes Gewicht und somit ist ein angenehmes speil möglich ➕ Knapp 30 Euro ist für die Figuren angemessen ➖ Plastikfiguren Die Schachfiguren sind für das alltägliche Spiel sehr gut geeignet und können trotz der Plastikvariante eine hohe Qualität bieten. I loved it at first sight, even though it is made of plastic and silicone, it feels luxurious and beautiful when you see and touch it. I was thinking of buying a product at a reasonable price and in the future I can buy expensive chess set, but I think I will keep this chess set for a long time and I do not feel that I need to buy another product. The silicone is of high quality and the pieces are very weighty and beautiful. I recommend it strongly.

I bought this for my daughter who has Autism to upgrade her from a small wooden set to something that looked like a full size board with larger pieces and that were pure black and white in colour, I was also looking out for solid pieces that weighed a bit more and did not feel plastic and light. This chess set arrived packaged very well in a solid box and it was heavy. It came with leaflets/postcards/cloth bags. The silicon boars is better than I thought and will lay flat on carpet or any surface without any wrinkles and it grips to the surface so wont slip. I was expecting to throw it away thinking it would be crap but its actually OK. The Chess pieces themselves are great! you even get spare queens!! I was very pleasantly surprised by the weight of them! They feel heavy and weighted which is fantastic exactly what I was looking for. My daughter loves this chess set. Much better than I expected for the price.
