They work well for me
I bought these because there is 2 different styles & 3 sizes & I didn't know what size I needed. The stamped metal ones are too small to release the clips. The cast tools have a "step" so they have 2 sizes. For mine, I have to push all the way down into the step to get the connector to release. They work fine for me & I would think they are more durable then the plastic ones.

Great alternative to plastic
You will lose it before it breaks. The only issue I have is that the 3 wrenches are pretty useless compared to the metal mc4 tools. If I could buy them separate, I would. The tools work well and stay pushed into the release position better than plastic. Also if you run into old style Generac snaps, they don't fit within the closed arms, but neither do the plastic ones.

These work great, but after I got them i discovered needlenose pliers can do the job also.

No More Broken Plastic Solar Panel Connector Tools!
I'm so very pleased with this set of METAL solar panel connector tools. I had been greatly frustrated by the plastic version of them as they kept breaking on me without me being able to successfully disconnect my solar panels. These to the rescue and for a lifetime of use now without any breakage. Thank you!

Good tool at a bargain price
These metal tools work great. Unlike plastic tools, these make mc4 connectors easy to separate. Wish I had bought them first time.

Useful and long lasting tools
Anyone who has used the plastic tools regularly knows they don't last long. These are much more sturdy and work well with MC4 connectors. Would buy again

Solid, slightly too wide for my connectors
On one hand, these are solidly made, and way better than the plastic ones which came with a set of connectors I bought. On the other hand, there must be some variety of sizes of connectors, because these are slightly too wide, so I still have to fiddle with them to separate them. I don't know whether you'll have the same experience with your connectors.
