Sturdy enough to build legos in it on airplane

It will certainly keep a small amount of Legos all in one place but no a large amount at one time. Also it needs to be resting on a solid surface to maintain it's flat shape. Without the corners snapped together it is like a thick piece of material that will just roll up for storage. The inside area is sized for the amount of stuff in a normal person pockets to remain together when out of the pocket.
