Worth If you run an old AM4/Ryzen pc. Else, get AM5 or intel
The Ryzen 5 5600. A process with decent performance for gaming and multitasking/productive work in a kinda affordable price. With 6 physical cores and hyperthreading support at this price, This is the best bang for your buck gaming/video editing CPU you can buy right now. It is rated for a 65w TDP and comes with a wraith spire cooler but if you are going to be doing overclocking, I suggest you pick up a cpu cooler like the cooler master hyper 212. It will not bottleneck any mid-range graphics cards and will work good with graphics cards till the rtx 3070ti or its amd equivalent. Personally I paired this with a AMD RX 6600 GPU and the frametimes are as smooth as butter. Going from an old Ryzen 3 2200g with no hyperthreading to this, the experience is really fruitful and there are no stutters even while running Marvel's Spider-Man on very high with spotify and a few chrome tabs running in the background. If you are on the AM4 platform and have a 4 core, 1st or 2nd or even a 3rd gen ryzen processor, this upgrade is gonna make your pc feel quick and snappy. If you are in the LGA platform or are thinking of building a new computer, I would recommend the intel's 6 core i5 12400f or the new ryzen 7000 series as those platforms an upgrade path for atleas a few good years. Overall, Totally recommend it for old AM4 computers not for building new ones, unless you are not going to upgrade it in the future then sure.

A powerful upgrade for AM4 given the price!
I am loving this purchase. I do not regret purchasing this. It is very simple to setup. The stock cooler sucks and I would recommend getting an aftermarket CPU cooler for better thermals. Its very normal for CPU to hit 58C during video playback and with stock cooler, it will easily reach 77C when gaming. The stock cooler is terrible so don’t postpone purchasing one; it doesn’t matter if you purchase a 2k worth of cooler, don’t use stock!!

Good value for money and top performer in this price bracket.
Value for money as Am4 platform cost is low .Best for people upgrading processor from ryzen 1000 or 2000 series without changing motherboard.Cinebench score 10800 to 12056.Can be easily overclocked to 4.6 ghz to match ryzen 5600x.Buy this and get a basic tower air cooler for good thermal results . Stock cooler is only okay for gaming and temperature reaches 75c .On workload it's reaches around 90c+.Overall buy it if you have existing Am4 motherboard .Alternatives is Intel 12400f or 13400f when it is released if building a new pc . Both Intel 1700 and Am4 will not have new processor releases. So it's up to your preference.

Best Mid range processor if you already own an AM4 socket motherboard
Packaging was really good. I upgrade from Ryzen 2600 which was the bottlenecking my gpu and The 5600 is so much better I gain 20% to 50% increase in fps, depending on games. This is the CPU to buy if you already have B450,x470 or any other AM4 motherboard that have new bios support for 5000 series. If you are planning to build a new PC, wait 1 month for the new Ryzen 7000 series AM5 platform will let you upgrade upto 4 gen or maybe more, better then Intel's max 2 gen Support.

Best bought as an upgrade
If you're building a pc this is not worth it. But if you are on 1st or 2nd gen ryzen the upgrade is worth every rupee. The average fps and more importantly 1% and 0.1% framerates skyrocket. Productive workflows are atleast 2x faster.TLDR; 10/10 as a drop in upgrade (look at your motherboards webpage for support)7/10 for a new PC.

Best for people upgrading from ZEN1/2 without changing mobo
Went from a ryzen 3 to this. More than 100% perf boost in most apps and games.Temps reached 77+ degrees with stock cooler so I undervolted it by setting -25 mv offset in PBO,now running at 70 degrees max while gaming.Windows feels smoother overall.
