Geocel Corp. 29402 Instant Gutter Seal

This stuff is great! I squeezed out the thick silver grey goop on to the seems, was a little pessimistic, and finished the job in minutes. The next day came back and I had a wonderful solid seal, now very optimistic. Compared to similar products sold by big box stores (i.e. Lowes, Home Depot, etc...) this stuff out performs what they offer hands down. I only have two suggestions to the manufacturer; 1) Add a screw on nozzle, similar to a tube of caulk, where we can cut the tip to the desired thickness of the material, as well as being able to control the flow better. It's difficult to get behind a gutter that butts up to a house without this type of feature. I had to squeeze out the stuff onto my finger (latex gloves, check) and smear the stuff onto the seam. Although I may have had to still do this with a nozzle, at least with the nozzle I could have controlled placing the material onto the seam first. 2) How about making this stuff in white. Not sure about the majority of people, but where I live, the majority of gutters are white. This stuff is silver grey and you can see the stripes going around the length of my gutters. I'll have to spray paint them white when the weather permits, but it certainly would be a nice plus to your product if this was yet another task I didn't need to do. If you do make this stuff in white, please get a hold of your distributors or resellers and ask them to make it available to us. Great stuff though.

This stuff works. I have gutters that are 20 years old that were leaking. My gutters go around the entire house and connect in each corner. At the corners of the house the gutters are overlapped, machine screwed together and sealed with the original sealant from 20 years ago. I tried some DAP Gutter and Flashing Sealant. The DAP product stuck to me and would not stick to the aluminum gutters. I would imagine the DAP product would work on new, perfectly clean aluminum, but lets get real that isn't the real world. My gutters are 23 feet above the ground so working with a marginal product is not acceptable. I cleaned the seams with mineral spirits as best I could and then wearing gloves applied the Geocel with my fingers and a plastic putty knife to feather the Geocel out from the seams. This stuff is somewhat thick and works better when warm, but I was able to get it to work on a 65 degree day. Bottomline: Geocel will stick to old aluminum gutters that are cleaned when other products will not and will seal the gutter seams to stop leaks.

This product works very well, primarily after a few days to harden. It is easy to use and once hardened, makes a very good seal. I used it to join the overlap at outside corners of a leaf shedding gutter screening product. Since it didn't harden immediately or within a few hours, I had to also screw the sections of screen together to hold it in place. This would not be a problem with sealing the seams of aluminum gutters themselves, as they must be screwed together anyway initially regardless of which type of seal was also used (to prevent leaks). It can be used in the rain or cold temperatures, which is very helpful and important.

I bought this a few weeks ago and i am very impressed. First of all, I have tried over 3 cans of the foamy stuff they advertise and sell on Tv but it didn't work and left me very frustrated. I read a positive review of this and decided to try it. I can testify i didn't get disappointed. Compared to the foamy stuffy they advertised on Tv, I applied a little of this gel, and the next day the thing was already working as my gutter was not leaking no more. This is despite the fact that it rained a few hours after i applied it (I leave in Seattle Washington area where it rains almost even in summer). Unfortunately, i have to return one of them as i only got to use a little of the one i opened (I had bought 2 expecting to use all of them, but i only ended up using less than 10% of the one i opened - Mind you i had already used 3 cans of that foamy stuff they sell in hardware stores and usually advertise on tvs, and it didn't work). I would give this 5 stars and highly recommend it for leaking gutters.

Works well if your leak does not stay under water for long periods. My leak was at a low point in the run and this stuff (like most others) did not hold up

Amazing stuff. I had to chisel out the old caulking from two gutter corners that have leaked for years. I applied Geocel twice. The first time I missed some little holes and I reapplied the stuff to the new areas that were adjacent to the earlier patching. It worked perfectly. The holes were about 1/8" wide and up to 1 1/2" long. Serious repair. Perfect. My neighbor had a gutter with a 1/8" round hole and 1" of standing water. I stuck the tube in the water and the Geocel is heavy and went right to the hole and patched it. It is lots of work to fix gutters and it was well worth the premium price to have a successful outcome.

I bought this product to fix a rain gutter that leaks. It leaks right over the front porch which really causes a problem in winter because I end up with a big, dangerous icy spot below the rain gutter. Fortunately, my daughter said she would climb the ladder and fix it. She read the instructions, applied the product. We've had a lot of rain and snow lately. It hasn't leaked. I just checked again - no leak., I will report back if I have anything new to report.

I tried to use this on a leaking gutter corner and it would not stick at all. I tried to smooth out with my hand like other adhesives and it really sticks to you hands. This is the most useless, terrible product I have ever used. It is soo bad that I have decided to live with the gutter leak.

I applied the product to a leaking corner gutter area. Putting a bead on and then smoothing with a putty knife ensuring I pushed the product into any gaps. With heavy rains a few days after applying the test proved to be positive as not a drip of water leaked out.
