Original Equipment
Price is right when you consider what is costs to replace the wet blade assembly for authentic Vitamix. Only $5 less for just the blade assembly and with this pitcher, the blade is already installed, so you don't need to buy the tool for changing the blade. All we did was reuse our original lid assembly on the new pitcher. Everything fits and operates flawlessly. Don't waste your time and money trying to rebuild your pitcher, just buy this one and keep your old pitcher as a back-up in case you need it. We got eight years out of the original blade assembly with twice a week use. We will be happy to get eight years out of this one.

Great Replacement for a Worn-Out Vitamix Jar
I bought this as a replacement after the blades in my original Vitamix jar gave out. At first, I thought I would need to buy a whole new Vitamix, but replacing just the jar was enough to get it working again. This jar feels slightly thinner than the original one that came with the machine, but it does the job well and has held up great so far. Definitely a cost-effective solution!

Good value for replacement Vitamix container
This container fits my 5200 Vitamix base and container cover- I had the original container for 16 years, and needed new blades. Tried non-Vitamix blades to save money and it was a waste- there is no comparison to the Vitamix brand blades. This container works great, although the handle isnโt at all like the original. I wish it had the same handle- this is a bit thin and uncomfortable to hold. But as far as having a good, smooth blend, these blades are great! Love my Vitamix!

Extend the Life of Your Vitamix
This is a helpful way to extend the life of an older vitamix. In my case, I first tried to replace just the blades in my old canister, but the seal still suffered on the old canister, so once I found this replacement, it seemed like a really great choice. It doesn't have the larger black rubberized plastic handle the more expensive unit has, but I was totally fine saving some money and going with this handle. PRO TIP: I very much *do* recommend replacing the drive socket kit (this one: https://amzn.to/3VLMYte) at the same time as replacing the canister, so that the drive mechanism can make a secure, solid connection to the brand new base in this brand new replacement canister. Seems like it will extend the life of all the parts this way.

Perfect fit, but high price
This container is a perfect fit for my wife's Vitamix after a blender accident that destroyed the container and bent the blade. This container fixed our issue without buying a new blander. The construction of the container and the blade is top notch like the original, but this container is more expensive that some blenders. I wish Vitamix offered a more reasonable cost version, but I appreciate having the option to purchase the container separately. I knocked off a star due to the high replacement cost. This is nothing more than strong food grade plastic and a blade, shouldn't cost close to $100 after tax, you can buy a lot of full high quality appliances with that much money.

Great replacement pitcher for original Vitamix
Having my Vitamix blender for at least 20 years, my original pitcher was looking pretty worn. (look at how much we LOVE our Vitamix! And it's cleaned DAILY!!) There is absolutely no way to clean out the gunk that builds up inside it, believe me, I tried everything. Happy to find a pitcher that fits my old (but still working AWESOME) machine. Was a bit put off about the plastic blade assembly, since the original is metal, but it seems to be well made with really strong plastic. I'm keeping my old metal blade assembly just in case, though. Great pitcher, looks absolutely perfect in my redone kitchen.

New and Improved...but Exactly the Same
I've had my Vitamix for 15 years and after almost daily use, the bearings in the pitcher wore out and began leaking a brown, oily fluid. Fortunately I was able to purchase just the pitcher at a fraction of the cost of a whole new machine. It's lighter than my first one, partly because the blade house is plastic and the old one was metal and partly because the plastic used for the new pitcher is different; thinner, smoother and looks faintly blue. But even though it's been altered a bit, it still works perfectly with the old base and lid. Overall, it's a nice change, especially because the old pitcher was well used and not the nicest to look at. I'm curious how long the plastic blade house will last compared to the metal one though. Probably not 15 years. Fingers crossed that I won't have to worry about it for a long time...
