It takes reapplying and some time but it's great way to control the situation.
They worked for me! Don't put these where you have put deterant sprays though, let the nasty little critters eat some Advion Roach bait and have several of these Roach motels spaced a couple of feet apart in the areas they're seen =Dead bugs!!

Worked When I Needed it To
I don't have many if any roaches. We had a damp basement in our new build and a few showed up. This trap took care of them directly.

Oldie but goodie that still works!
The Black Flag Roach Motels have been around for a long time and for good reason. They work! Somehow, we got a minor infestation of roaches. Sprays can be hazardous as heck to your health, your pets, fish, birds etc. I have tried several other brands of sticky traps without much success. Mainly, the roaches would use the traps as a hangout and then go about their business like nothing was holding them back. This is NOT true of the Black Flag Roach Motels. The attractant in the trap draws them in, and the glue in the trap KEEPS them in until they die. But I did discover something that made these traps work even better. Science has determined that several species of roaches have developed a dislike for any glucose based traps. This is why sugar baited traps don't always work. I got a few without the quick add trick below. PEANUT BUTTER! I put a small amount of peanut butter in each trap using a craft stick to apply the PB in the center of the trap like a smear. That was like putting a sign up for the roaches that read "Free Lunch Kids! Come and get it!" The roaches checked in, died and did NOT check out. To use the traps simply put them where you have either seen roaches, or their droppings and wait a few days. Once the bottom gets filed, simply turn the trap over and let it do it's thing. You won't need any extra peanut butter since it will still draw them in. Once you have filled both sides, simply throw it away in the garbage. These come 2 to a package with a total of 12 packages (24 traps). Once our infestation was gone, I followed up with roach bait and SOME spray to act as a barrier spray. The reason for the bait is to get them to go back to the nest with it and die. Roaches are cannibalistic, and will eat their dead. The poison stays in their bodies, and as other roaches eat the dead one, they die as well, and the cycle goes on and on. I also keep the spray as a spot-killer for if I see one moving around. Spray it and THAT roach dies. Then just sweep it up and toss it out. You don't want his family coming to the funeral feast. These traps worked to help eliminate the problem along with bait and spray. I haven't seen one now in several days. 24 traps should be more than enough to handle any problems you might have with the little beasties. Works great but check traps daily for beneficial critters!
Yes. these work. HOWEVER, they work too well and kill other beneficial animals in the process. I got 3 roaches but killed 5 lizards. Those 5 lizards (an additional 3 were rescued) took out way more roaches than these traps did, for sure. Now that I know they are around, I'm never buying these again. The collateral damage to my local ecosystem was just too high for me to justify a few roaches. In time, the lizards will breed and control the problem for me. Check these daily if you do use them and if you catch an animal in there, you can release them with a little cooking oil. Just work it in where they are stuck and they'll eventually work free.

The classic reliable option. It just works. "Roaches check in, but they don't check out."
My apartment in northern GA may be up on the third floor, but it does have a problem with the creepy-crawlies every now and then. The roaches generally show up in abrupt waves, at intervals of a few months, often after a heavy rainstorm. There's also the normal "living in the South" problem of those small crunchy beetles that stink to high heaven if you smash them. The apartment complex does what it can, but...we're in the South. We're gonna get bugs. I have tried, and am not a fan, of the foldable glue traps. They're unsightly, and when the cat stepped into one, it promptly turned into a slapstick comedy routine. So, I decided to try these. Placed half a dozen of them in a 900 sq. ft. apartment (2 on either side of the balcony door, 2 on either side of the oven where there are gaps in the kitchen cabinets, one each in the bathroom and office room, all of them right up against the baseboard). Overkill? Maybe. But I had no idea beforehand how well these things would work. The verdict: they DO work, and do so outstandingly. Since placing them several months back, I have seen exactly one creepy-crawly bug in the open in the entire apartment. And left to his own devices he'd likely find a way to get stuck in the thing shortly. That's it. Zero roaches. For that matter, zero spiders, something of a miracle in Georgia. After a few months, I assume that they're probably due for replacement soon, but they're still working. Unlike the foldable glue traps, there's a bit of a "ramp" at either end that not only acts as a wall once the bugs cross it, but also blocks the trapped bug corpses from view. They seem to be cat-proof as well - the ramp entrances make it impossible for the cat to get stuck on the thing unless they REALLY tried, while the bugs are hidden from the cat's view as well. Win/win. These cost a bit more than the generic glue traps, but they're worth it. They simply work. There's a reason the things have been on the market for nearly 50 years. My only "gripe" is that I wish they had a selection of a few colors to blend in with the decor better, but that's a quibble. When the glue on these stops being effective, I'm definitely buying another batch.

Works as advertised.
They really work well, provided they're placed in the different location and are left for a few days. Non toxic!
