This WGGE self-adjusting wire stripper is a great tool and makes wiring jobs much easier. The self-adjusting feature works really well, it grips and strips cleanly without damaging the wire, which takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. It’s especially helpful when working with different wire sizes. The tool feels solid in hand, with comfortable grips and smooth operation. It saves time and effort compared to traditional strippers, especially if you’re doing multiple connections. I’ve used it on a few projects now, and it’s been consistent and reliable every time. Feels pretty heavy weight and looks high quality for it's price. The size was pretty good too, not too small or too big. The wire cutter worked well. The wire stripper was not what I was expecting in a good way. It did have some difficulty gripping the wire so it slipped a little bit. But it did strip the wire. I noticed that the wire stripper blades did not cut deep enough into the wire so you have to loosen the adjustor knob a little bit if you encounter the same problem.

Very good product and easy to handle. It is a different type of tool of which I've used five or six different types but this does a very nice good clean job.

Works well as a one handed wire stripper. The clear plastic guide on the right sets the length to strip, push the plastic button to let it spring open to full length or push the guide back in. The metal knob sets how hard it grips the wire. Can turn it to - and then back to + until it it is strong enough to pull the wire. Has worked great so far on 18 awg stranded with soft insulation. Could not strip hard insulation without turning the dial to +. Theres no stop on the knob, turning too far to + stops the jaws from closing. The handles are a reasonable length and cushioned. Had to go back to product listing to read the instructions online.

I've seen people using similar strippers in DIY videos, but I always thought they were too complex for me to use. So, I continued to strip wire the old-fashion way (hard way) using a pocket knife and a lot of thumb nail muscle. Finally, I decided to try these "automatic" strippers because I needed to repair a pile of damaged extension cords. No instructions needed to get started. The tool will self-adjust for different size wire. Simply insert your wire into the left slot. Slide it over until the end butts up against the plastic Stop. Then gently squeeze the handles. The tool will neatly remove the insulation, leaving a length of exposed bare wire that is perfect for connectors that require insertion. If you want a longer length of bare wire, just flip the plastic stop-arm up, and insert wire as far as you prefer. A longer bare wire might make it easier to "twist" your connections together. I wish I had bought this tool years ago. The low price makes the WGGE WG-014 a great gift for anyone who owns a tool box. Also, it would be handy for the folks who keep a screwdriver and pliers in a kitchen drawer. If you are skilled enough to operate a flashlight, you can use this tool.

Work great and feel like a quality product

They work ok, the larger the gage wire 10 to 16 gage they work good. When you get 18 too 22 gage they may not hold the wire firmly or may not strip the wire. It's almost easier to use the old manual wire stripper's for the fine wire.

Purchased this to complete some wiring projects in my home. I have been using the small standard Wire Trimmers that have the multiple size "holes" for many years. I found the old style wire trimmers "hit and miss" since you have to guess what size hole to use for the correct wire. Most of the time it's fine but when stripping thin multi-strand wire - it's a complete pain. Many times I cut the wire when stripping the coating. If it's very this multi-strand - it's almost impossible. These new Self-Adjusting wire strippers work perfectly. I have stripped Copper Romex and multi-strand wire effortlessly. I would recommend this product.

If you're still using the old style wire strippers, donate them to someone else and get one of these. They work wonderfully. My only regret is that I didn't get them sooner!
