Good price, simple adapter, no issues. It's always nice to have one of these around for those situations where you need to plug an older monitor into a newer card without VGA ports.

Oddly wouldn't fit in one of the two DVI ports on my desktop, but fits fine in the other. Other than that, it does what I want and has worked well so far. Inexpensive but lets me utilize a second, older monitor that doesn't have DVI, and has a great price.

Works as it should. MAKE SURE you are using this for an analog DVI port and not a digital one before ordering. VGA is analogue, and will only work on DVI analogue, NOT DVI-D

device doesn't allow monitor detection so I could not utilize my max resolution. Highest I could use was 1600x900. My monitor supports 1920x1080

I picked up a monitor from Goodwill for 20 bucks, it was old and only had VGA cable and my motherboard doesn't have VGA input, so I needed this connector. The problem with the connector is that the VGA prongs were actually MISSING (on the side that is supposed to connect to the DVI socket. You can kind of see the 4 prongs in the picture of the item (they are the 4 pins that are around the long flat-head shaped prong on the left). When my connector arrived, It would not work at all and after inspecting the piece and taking it to a computer shop, we figured out that those 4 missing prongs are actually the color inputs from the VGA to DVI conversion. There are actually 4 slots where the prongs SHOULD be, but alas, they are not there. I'm hoping mine was just a bad egg, otherwise I can't imagine how this connector could work.

I picked up a monitor at a thrift store for $5 to use as an extra display for my webcams. However, it had a VGA connection, while my computer's video card only has DVI output. So this adapter did the trick, didn't cost me an arm and a leg, and I can monitor my webcams without taking up my regular computer screen. Tightening the screws was a little, um, tight. Someone with large fingers might have a little difficulty if the available space on either side of the adapter is small - I almost had to disconnect my other monitor so that I could tighten it on one side. But it all worked out, and I'm happy!

I bought an Intel motherboard but realize after that it has a DVI socket while my monitor has a VGA socket. I was glad to receive this product quickly and it work fine.

This DVI-I to VGA adapter is an inexpensive and perfect solution for the task. This item does not have screwdriver slots in the mounting screw heads so you will be left to secure it with your fingers.
