If you could only choose five spiritual books to read in this lifetime, you should make this one of those five! Ram Dass is a beautifully insightful teacher and he hides nothing from the reader. He helps you understand that setting yourself free from your own mind and all its hangups is the task you should set for yourself in this life. After that, it is downhill. This is an illuminating book.

I thought this was an excellent book that clarified a number of issues that I have always struggled with. Glad I got it!

Classic Ram Dass from the late 70's. He shares a very readable story of experiences in the "real world" in which he lives his loving, open, accepting philosophy. Mystical experience by its nature is difficult to write about and Ram Dass does it masterfully. I read it thirty-something years ago and found it great once again. Try it.

I love everything I've read that Ram Dass has shared about his life experiences. This book brought together, for me, an understanding of the connection between every religion, how they're all one and the same. It brought a soothing understanding of this for me that was elusive until this book.
