I needed a mount to hold a camera for remove viewing of a process control system. In my case the operator does not have line of sight of the control console from a nearby workstation. From the product description and reviews it seemed that this mount would do the job. I am very pleased with it. There are several swivels which allow you to basically get any view you desire. The mounting holes both for wall mount and camera mount are versatile and allow for a great range in mounting options. As mentioned in the description this mount is metal and not plastic. It is designed and constructed well such that it can hold a heavy camera. For each of the swivel axises there are detents which hold the position and not just simple friction from tightening the screw. The downside to that is the adjustments are made in "clicks" rather than any possibility, however, the "clicks" are numerous and does not restrict the viewing options. If you have ever had a tripod where the camera would "sag" then you know what I mean. If not disregard the above as it is not a determent to performance. It also appears that the finish of the mount would take well to painting. It feels as if it is one of the paintable surfaces. Overall I am extremely pleased with this camera mount.

This mount is really designed for a fairly small and lightweight camera. When I put a 3 lb camera on it, the mount sagged noticeably. While built of metal, I've actually had plastic mounts that do a better job of securing a camera. It's better than most other similar options on Amazon for sure, but I don't think I'd try to put anything heavier than about 3-4 pounds on it. It's also definitely meant for one-time, set-it-and-forget it installation. It uses screws to set both the pan and tilt positions, and those screws aren't of a very high quality so repeated repositioning isn't recommended, as the screw head would be likely to strip out with repeated use. Other than that, it does its job.

This arm worked perfectly for our security camera. It mounted securely and adjusted nicely so that even with a pole that slanted slightly, we were able to get a level image.

This item is useless. For security camera, the designer just did not get it... pure waste of money and time.

I bought these to support a DIY housing for a Dropcam, and they've held up well. Granted, the entire load is only two pounds, so they haven't been put through much strain. They come with mounting screws.

I used this to mount an Infant Optics baby monitor after scouring the internet trying to find a mount that would allow me to hang the camera so that I could see over the edge of the crib, without having to mount it so high that I could no longer see the baby. This works perfectly.

Not "heavy duty", but it's solid and supports an enclosure with a heater and fan and telephotos camera. So sufficient. Came with the needed screws and parts, which was just right. Balanced and installed today. Seems just right and the price is very reasonable. I added my own mounting bolt, which also works just fine.

I like the bracket and it works very well for standard installations (mount on a wall with plenty of clearance). Would be nice this had one more adjustment capability, which would be at the end of the arm where the camera mount is located. It would then fit some places where I need the length, but cannot mount the bracket straight up & down. This would also help to point around obstructions.

Quality is Very Good. Strongly recommend for purchase..

Good quality. Twice broken in the transit. Packaging needed improvement. Ordered 4 of these again after couple of months. Packaging improvised. No damages to the product.

Good build... Not good for IP/ wifi cameras though...
