SoHoMiLL Electronic Door Knob (Spring Latch Lock; Not Deadbolt; Not Phone Connected), Single Front keypad YL 99, max Security

One of the best things I’ve ever purchased—EVER! It has changed my life. Chapter 1: The first handle I bought one for our little Mother-in-Law apt AirBNB, four months ago. Wish I had done it years ago! —but I’d never thought of it before watching YouTube videos on Airbnb tips. Anyway, it works like a charm and I think it is a BIG part of why we are 5 star rated. Seriously. Chapter 2: The second handle Upstairs in our home, I had replaced the back door deadbolt with another regular deadbolt…but the thing was faulty. And the past couple of days it hardly worked at all— we couldn’t get the bolt to move without the aid of a hammer. The husband pointed out that this could be a huge problem if there is ever a fire in the house and we can’t get out. (He’s a keeper! He’s the brains and I’m the doorknob-changing brawn. Yesterday was our 11th Wedding Anniversary.) Also, problematic was the fact that we have a teenager who sneaks out at night through the back door and, instead of bringing her key, hunts for the hidden key (with the porch light on, I’m sure) OR leaves the door unlocked. Both scenarios upset me. So, I decided to order and install another of these awesome SoHo doorknobs! And I did! But this one didn’t work, so I contacted the seller and asked for a replacement. I got an immediate, friendly, response that even obliged an odd request I’d given (sparing the reader the details of it). In return, the customer service rep asked that I go through their website to reply and give my shipping address. There, at the website, I read "FOUR batteries.” Duh!! I had only installed two, as I forgot to turn the black box over and install ALL FOUR batteries. (FYI that black box that houses the batteries in the door knob has two chambers—for FOUR batteries, total.) HA!!! I ran downstairs and through in 2 more batteries in less than a second and it now works like a charm! Conclusion I highly recommend these doorhandles. Someday, I’m sure, we’ll even replace the front door handle with one. The first one, I ordered just before my birthday, and the second just before our wedding anniversary. Am I not a girl who knows how to celebrate?!! :) PROs: - arrived in great condition and super fast. Both handles arrived the day after the next day of ordering (extending the days of celebration!) - super easy installation - great customer service - security of knowing that if the door is closed it is LOCKED (no more running back to check and make sure it’s locked) - no more hidey-keys, or having to carry house keys (or lose them) - price is great - makes a beeping sound. Maybe I’ll be able to hear the late night wanderer’s wanderings from now on. We’ll see. CONs: - makes a beeping sound. I’m glad to hear others come and go, but I don’t want to be heard. - doesn’t match the decor of the house. But with blue and purple hair, what do I care what the neighbors think! I highly recommend this product!! (and fun-colored hair)

I bought two of these over a few week span to go on the doors into my garage (one exterior, one interior). I found that I kept forgetting, or thinking I forgot, to lock these doors and I wanted something that would lock automatically. I opted for the electronic locks because I didn't want to be tethered to a key while walking around my own house (I'd locked myself out of a college dorm room enough to know I didn't need to experience that again), but I didn't want to spent much money. Long story short, these work great and the price point is good. They were a direct drop-in replacement for my existing door knobs (mostly, but more on that later) and they are very solid. The knobs themselves are a little large, a full handful in my case, but all of the electronics are contained within them, so that's to be expected. Some specific thoughts: - Programming was easy, I had both units programmed and operable within minutes of taking them out of the box. - The passthrough feature is a nice touch and easy to activate/deactivate. It would be nice if it had a time-out feature where it would deactivate the feature after a given amount of time, but that's not that big of a deal. - Installation was easy. I actually had more difficulty installing a standard latch/deadbolt combo on my front door than I did with either of these (interestingly enough that hardware was more expensive than both of these combined). One of my doors required some minor modification to accommodate the latch plate in the picture, which is not removable, but that was mostly because I was installing door armor over it, so I needed it to sit sub-flush with the door edge. Regardless, a chisel made short work of that. Same applies to the provided strike plate and socket. In all honesty, I didn't replace the front door hardware with electronics for fear of the locks all failing and me being completely locked out of the house (that's just common sense), but I have yet to have an issue. It's been three months now and both units are holding up like champs. Haven't even had to replace the batteries yet. The one that is exposed to the elements still looks and operates as it did when I took it out of the box. The one on the inside is a little hard to turn at times, but that's due to a less than stellar installation on my part that I've just never gotten around to fixing. To summarize, I really like these. I'd buy more if I had a reason to put electronic locks on any other doors.

I purchased this lock to install on a garage side door, so I could go for a bike ride, or take the dog for a walk and not have to bother with a key, or garage remote. I did not purchase it as a dead lock, which it is not but to replace a keyed lock. Installation was incredibly simple, jut a matter of removing the old lock and installing the new. No drilling or chiseling required. Overall installation time was about 20 minutes, including setting master code, and entry codes. Be sure to pay particular attention to the code setting method, especially when to use star instead of hash. Only time will tell how robust this lock is but for now I am very pleased with it For A$74.30, delivery included with Prime to Australia, within 10 days of ordering, this has been a great purchase.

La instalación es muy sencilla, la hice yo mismo con solamente un desarmador, los acabados de la chapa son buenos y se ve bastante resistente así como estética, lo único por sugerir es que tuviera una llave en caso de que se termine la batería o cualquier falla, si viene con un mecanismo de emergencia pero hubiera preferido la llave, aun así la recomiendo ampliamente.

This works very well. Since my house in on number code lock I rarely carry keys unless I'm driving. I put this on my garage because any time I'm around the yard and want to get a tool or take out my bike and find the door locked I have a surge of rage shoot through me and usually find myself lifting my foot to kick the door down (I then stop myself and feel bad for having such visceral reasons to locked doors). Now I'm free of such rage and simply dial in my 4 button combination. Very happy! Solid feeling, proven weather resistant, and easy to install.

Very well built and good quality. Nice solid steal feel and construction, you can feel the weight. Easy to install and program. Beeping sound is not too loud but wish there was a mute option to turn it off, minus one start for that.

Es la segunda que compro. Es muy util para poder tener closets cerrados sin la necesidad de cargar con una llave. La instalacion es bastante simple. El teclado suena al presionar los botones. Llevo con ella más de un año y la batería sigue funcionando.
