My regular one broke i almost threw the arm away until I saw that you can just buy the base.

only a small part is metal , this whole product is misleading and shouldn't be allowed to say something it isn't it works but flimsy , im using a hyper x mic with a rode psa 1 arm

It is a nice clamp if you are using regular audio equipment for gaming or light audio work "HyperX Quadcast or Blue Yeti for example". But if you are running high weight audio equipment with a good arm, this clamp will break not to long after purchasing. The part that had broken for me is the bottom of the clasp and the thing that connects the clasp and the mic arm. I have bought this same clamp 3 times and it had broken all 3 times within 8 months, all during audio recording or gaming sessions. For reference on what weight is to much for it my equipment is around 8 lbs between the mic arm, the spider shock mount and the microphone.

It works great for my desk/setup. If you have anything somewhat heavy this may not hold up. I see some people complaining that theirs doesn’t want hold up and I assume their mics/setups are above 5lbs cause according to the description of this, it has a weight compactly of 5lbs. I have a mv7 shure mic and mines is holding up just fine so far.

holds good no problems and i use this several times a day swinging back and forth holds very nicely couldnt keep my other mount clamped this is a game changer

Did exactly as promised. Sturdy and padded which keeps it well and truly in place. The top part being deep enough to hold the boom arm in well without it being wobbly.
