What a find! I love this product because it is easy to scrape off a thin layer in this tub. It's soft and not greasy at all. I was looking for some type of lotion that can get rid of my chapped hands and bottom of my heel. This works great! Every night, I place a layer of it on my foot especially the heel area. Then I put socks over my feet before getting into the bed for the night. During the day I put this on my hands. If I wash my hands too much, they become chapped to the point it starts to crack and bleed. That stings sometimes. So to avoid that, I use this. I put a thin layer on my hand and rub it onto the back of my hand and my fingers. This size is quite large. I also use some on my hair to tame my fly aways...those whispy hair pieces that can't seem to hold still without a hair clip. The greatest thing about this to me is that there is no fragrance.

My skin is very dry. A nurse recommend it to me, to use all over my body instead of Vaseline. It's wonderful! Great price too

This is some good stuff I’ve now ordered two more jugs to give to my parents as it works like magic on skin. It’s the only thing that heals my kiddos severe skin issues. It’s super quick for healing damaged skin and keeping it healthy.

I’ve been using the Amazon Basics Healing Ointment for a few weeks now, and I must say—it’s an absolute workhorse for dry, cracked skin. Whether it’s lips, hands, or those sneaky elbows, this stuff delivers. What I particularly appreciate is that it doesn’t leave me feeling like I’ve dipped myself in a vat of grease. Instead, it leaves my skin feeling silky, moisturised, and protected—though I will admit, there’s a slight residue that lingers. Not unpleasant, just something to note.That said, the value for the price is unmatched. A 14 oz tub will last forever, and it performs on par with much pricier brands. I knocked off one star only because of that lingering “silky coat” sensation—it’s not oily, but it is perceptible, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea.Still, it’s earned a permanent place in my skincare stash!

Was looking for an affordable alternative to the name brand. I was tired of paying $10 for small tubes of the name brand ointment. This works awesome for lips and dry, chapped skin. I keep it by my bedside and use it every night before bed. This is the first winter ever that I didn’t get dry, cracked or chapped lips. Locks in moisture and it’s an amazing value. Great price point and a lot of product. Best band for your buck. I’m so glad I read the reviews and took a chance on this. My new go-to healing ointment!

This is the exact same as Vaseline. There is no scent and it’s a good price for a giant tub. This is how much is remaining after being used daily for a few months. Great value for your money.

Since this is a generic, it’s only natural to compare it to the original—and this is nothing like the original Aquaphor Healing Ointment. The consistency is much thinner, more similar to Vaseline, and melts into an oily texture once applied. If you’re looking for a true Aquaphor dupe, this is not it. Do not buy this if you appreciate the thick, rich, balm-like feel of Aquaphor. Stay away.That said, it works fine for me. I’m going to use it, and I’ll probably buy more. It’s nearly identical to Walmart’s Equate version, both in texture and packaging. In fact, both the Equate version and the Amazon Basics version come in the exact same unique-looking jar. If you’ve tried either of those, this is the same thing. If you’re okay with that, it’s a decent option. But if you want something as thick and rich as Aquaphor, this won’t cut it.
