2021 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G 256GB - Phantom Black (Renewed)

My Samsung Galaxy Fold Z 3 is amazing. I bought this expecting there to be a few dings and dents/scratches and what not, but I see absolutely none. The quality is genuinely as if it is new. This phone performs so well even under heavy loads compared to any other android phones I've used. Definitely a top performer. Runs Fortnite at 60 frames very well, and even on mobile data it works amazingly well. The data is fast, just what you need. One thing weird with the data is how i find some social media apps like Instagram load slower than other apps using mobile data. Strange - maybe that's just me. Not a biggie. This phone feels amazing. Quite heavy when you first pick it up, but considering it's a phone and a tablet in one with all that processing power, it's amazing. The screens are both outstanding, and they are very bright, both are perfectly visible even under direct sunlight. The cameras, all five, are very good at their job. I have no complaints with them at all. They are definitely good contenders to iPhone cameras. I have no complaints, there are no issues with white balance I have found, which can be common with android phones. The folding mechanism is hilariously smooth, I've probably opened and closed it a few thousand times, it does not get old. The battery life on this phone is absolutely perfect for me. I find myself having to charge it once a day at most. I am a person that is constantly on their phone, consuming content or playing games to pass time away, I am also using my mobile hotspot constantly, which also uses battery, yet with this phone battery is no longer a worry for me . This is a much bigger improvement from my iPhone 11. It couldn't last 6 hours without a charge and with very small usage. I have had no problems with this phone so far, it is absolutely perfect for me. I definitely recommend this phone to anyone who wants to have a change, or love the idea of a folding phone. 10/10.

Absolutely brilliant!!!

For the price, it's top value and the phone works exactly was expected. No screen damage but also no screen protectors. Both had been removed at some point, so factor that into the price.This phone was listed as in "Excellent Condition" with "no signs of cosmetic damage visible from a distance of 30 centimetres." But that's not quite what I got. Three areas of very obvious cosmetic damage on the hinge. Does it affect the phones performance? No. Is it annoying? Yeah, it is a bit.UPDATE: Unfortunately after less then 2 months my Fold 3 has started to crack along the fold. It started small but a few days later it's spread and is now 1/3rd the length of the fold. Time to see if the Amazon Renewed returns scheme actually works :(UPDATE 2: After multiple messages with the seller and returning the phone I can confidently say that the Amazon Renewed promise doesn't exist. The seller refused to refund me and even blamed me for the fault. Amazon customer service by email said they couldn't help because of "health and safety"... no, I'm not kidding they really did.Speaking to Amazon on the phone I was told the promised "dedicated Amazon Renewed" one stop customer service representatives don't actually exist and they were powerless to make the seller stick to the promised 1 year Amazon backed Renewed Guarantee... I feel like I've been conned.

The fold 3 is amazing. I mean a super-phone but I knew about an issue with the screen that can happen whereby it can crack.So, as they are super expensive, I thought about trying one out but buying a second hand one and so I was really happy to discover that Amazon have a Renewed guarantee which covers the product for a period of one year after purchase. It is quite a comprehensive guarantee so I purchased a Fold 3 from DigitalTechno, a third party seller, from the Amazon website in Jan 2023, relaxed that I would be covered if any issues arose.So, I used it a lot. It is an amazing phone and really flexible but in August I noticed that a crack has appeared within the fold crease in a few places (See pictures).Now to be clear, I did not improperly used this phone to cause the damage. The damage was neither accidental nor deliberate and resulted through normal use of the phone.I am glad that I have the guarantee I thought but I was to be sorely disappointed.I started the return with Amazon which was easy but in the returns documentation that I printed, I was instructed that I needed to contact DigitalTechno with proof that I had wiped the phone before they would accept the return.I contacted DigitalTechno and they said that they would not accept a return with physical damage. I explained that I had not caused the damage - neither intentionally or by negligence and it was covered under the defective goods part of the Amazon Renewed guarantee.They said no it wasn't and after three or four messages when it was clear that DigitalTechno were not engaging with me in any meaningful way when I abandoned this approach and approached Amazon directly.Now this was not as straight forward as it should have been. I spoke to maybe 6 associates via chat and email and given the standard response which was that I needed to return the phone to DigitalTechno. I kept saying that if I was to send the phone to DigitalTechno, they would not accept the return as they don't cover physical damage.Around the houses I went a few more times until I emailed the [email protected] and it all started to work properly from then on. Jacopo and Damien from the executive relations team took over my case. Damien called me and I explained the issue - DigitalTechno were not honouring the Amazon Renewed guarantee. It took very little time to convince them that I was in the right, because I am in the right.Strangely, the team asked me to send the phone to DigitalTechno via a recorded delivery service and that as soon as it was marked 'delivered' on the tracking information - Amazon would issue a full refund and include the postage that I had paid also.This went without a hitch and restored my faith in Amazon. However, this was not as easy as it should have been and did cause me some consternation. I think that there is an email route you can take to get to the right person but it is not a clear path and it should be, as the off shore support colleagues really did not help on the chat help line. In fact, as my problem was one of dispute and I needed Amazon to mediate - it does not fit into one of the prescribed problem boxes that Amazon offer. As soon as my issue landed on the right desk, my problems were solved swiftly and professionally.So, my advice to Amazon would be to make this process easier when problems are complex.My advice to anyone wanting to buy a folding phone from Samsung would be to do so as they are amazing and I am going to replace my fold 3 with a fold 4, albeit a new one.My advice to anyone considering buying any products from DigitialTechno would be to give them a very wide berth. They do not honour the Amazon renewed guarantee and they are no help whatsoever. Their cut and paste customer service and inability to listen to the customers point of view and their view that the Amazon Renewed guarantee does not cover any physical damage is not correct and in blatant opposition to the text of the guarantee. I hope Amazon take DigitalTechno to task for their shortsighted interpretation of Amazons guarantee. After all, it is Amazon's guarantee, not DigitalTechno's.

First off, a few things to be aware of: I've personally not had issues with the folding screen, but there is a visible crease down the middle that may affect your viewing experience with movies. You'll need either an S Pen Fold or Pro edition if you want to use a stylus, which I highly recommend. You'll most likely want to find a reasonably protective case too, as the cameras jut out and will scratch easily otherwise.Hardware-wise, the fold 3 is a beauty. The outer screen is large and high resolution enough that you can use it almost like a non-foldable phone without an issue, then fold out the main display when you need the extra space. The battery life is great, with an 80% charge taking me comfortably through the day even with above average use. The folding mechanism is stiff enough to hold itself in place, but feels almost effortless to fold and unfold, and the cameras, while not the best I've seen on a phone, still manage high resolution pictures and videos.Software-wise, it's slightly more of a mixed bag. It's a Samsung phone using OneUI, so you'll run into the usual bloat - I spent a few hours disabling all of their junk though and everything worked fine. I'd rather not have to deal with this on a premium phone like this, but at least it doesn't seem to be reinstalling itself.There are actually a few neat apps built-in. Samsung's camera app has your standard camera features, then layers on top a bunch of neat modes which I personally only use one or two of, but are occasionally fun to use - I quite like the super-slow mo, which records for a few seconds then as the name suggests produces a super slow motion video lasting about 30 seconds. It does best in bright conditions because of how high the shutter speed is, and I've captured a few really nice videos using it. It's also got an AR Doodling mode where you can draw in the air and the doodles stay in place as you move the camera around, which for me was a bit of a novelty but I can imagine better artists will come up with some incredible work using it.The folding software works well, to an extent. Most native apps, i.e. the ones which come preinstalled or are developed by Google, work very well with the folding screen and seamlessly switch views when you open the phone. Others will need to be restarted if you want to switch displays. This sounds like a pain, but I've honestly found that in most cases I only want to use a given app on one screen but not the other, so it tends to work out quite well.

I bought this fone its 1 of the best I've bought in a long time didn't get the link 2 show to the shop keeper from Royal mail but really chuffed with it fairly easy 2 set up 2!!

Very good condition all round i have enjoyed using it till today when the larger screen stopped working after buying a lovely protective cover and having everything on it I wanted I now have an expensive ordinary phone

Me llegó perfecto, sin arañazos ni desperfectos, con su caja. Solo faltaba el manual. El móvil es increíble. Ya no podría acostumbrarme a una pantalla de 6 pulgadas.

Mein erstes Generallüberholtes Smartphone und ich bin begeistert. Bis auf ein paar Alltags Gebrauchsspuren (wurde vom Vorbesitzer wahrscheinlich ohne Schutzhülle oder Folie/ Panzerglas benutzt) ist der Zustand des Gerätes zu 99% Perfekt. Das innere Display war komplett Gebrauchsspuren frei und hatte keine Pixelfehler. Die Scharniere sind wie noch nie benutzt, Butterweich. Vielen Dank für die Sehr gute Qualität die bei Handingo geliefert wird.

Compre este producto reacondicionado a los 6 meses la pantalla interior se queda en negro y se despega por lo visto un fallo general en estos modelos el proveedor dice que no lo devuelve aunque en la garantia de compra así lo pone y que es un mal uso totalmente falso no compren nada a este proveedor espero solución por Amazon como en otras ocasiones miente el proveedor de mal uso le pasa a todos estos móviles y ahora no quieren hacerse cargo mal vendedor

Exzellentes Display, sehr schnelle Reaktion auf Eingaben, 512GB interner Speicher - da kommt Freude auf.Kritikpunkte: der Akku ist recht schwach auf der Brust. Wer das Smartphone regelmäßig am Tag nutzt, muss es täglich neu laden - so meine Erfahrung. Schade: kein Slot für eine SD-Karte (ich könnte mehr als 512GB brauchen), aber für normale Anwendungen ist der interne Speicher absolut ausreichend.
