Best solution for worn out dance shoes!
This is a life-saver! I've used it on several pairs of my dance shoes, and it has extended their life so that I don't have to constantly buy new shoes that are in great condition apart from the worn out soles. And it's a much quicker, more hassle free option than taking my shoes to a cobbler to replace the soles for me. I've purchased both the gold tan and light tan colors, and each of them match my shoes very well. They aren't an exact match to the original color of the shoes' suede, but I didn't expect them to be. I use the gold tan on my dark tan satin rhythm shoes, and the light tan on my flesh satin court shoes as well as my tan leather practice shoes, and unless you're looking at them up close you can't tell that anything has been stuck onto the bottom of the shoes. The suede is easy to cut-I just traced the bottom of my shoes onto the paper on the back, and that has worked beautifully for me. Definitely take your time and apply them to the shoes as precisely as possible, just to avoid having an annoying imbalance on the bottom of your shoes, and try to stand in the shoes immediately after applying. This way you know if you need to adjust the new suede, and then putting the weight in the shoes for 5 or 10 minutes help to adhere the glue to the bottom of the shoe. The glue has held up extremely well... The original bottoms of my shoes were completely smooth from wear, and I'm sure had a ton of dust, but the glue has held the suede on flawlessly. I've had it on the bottoms of my shoes for over 4 months, and it is the same as when I first stuck it on. Now, instead of throwing out a well-loved, comfortable pair of shoes after a few months, I can restore the soles at home and extend the wear of my favorite shoes. I'll definitely be buying this again!

From street shoe to dance shoe - an affordable option!
This suede is the perfect solution for turning my comfortable street shoes into wood-floor-ready dance shoes. I've recently gotten back into salsa dancing, after over 20 years of not dancing, and I immediately hurt my right foot from practicing too many right spins in a row. High heels are now my nemesis. But most ladies dance shoes are narrow, and quite unsupportive, and I can't stand even 10 minutes of wearing them. My solution has been to find comfortable supportive shoes that don't have an excessively sporty tread, and add this suede to the bottoms. My shoes are Dansko and taos brands, both of which are smooth enough to give the adhesive a good amount of surface area to stick. The adhesive works great, so long as I am dancing on a relatively slick surface. I tried one dance on a low-pile carpet and afterwards could feel the suede starting to get rolled up along one of the edges. But wood, smooth concrete, and those portable vinyl dance floors all work great. Depending on the size of your foot, the size of your shoe, and the amount of your shoe you want covered, you can likely get 2-3 pairs worth of coverage out of one sheet. I only apply the suede to the area of the shoe that is under the ball and arch of my foot, never to the heel area. This both reduces the amount of suede I need, but also makes it so that my step can be stable for most of the time, but torque is reduced on a turn - good for protecting your joints! I've seen people sell dance socks that you can slip over street shoes - or I suppose you could even repurpose a pair of your old existing socks by cutting off the toe and slipping them over your shoes. However, I can't help but think that option is extremely unattractive. Adding suede to the bottom of your shoes is unobtrusive and simple - although I did admittedly buy some of the red suede thinking I could make my shoes into faux Louboutins. Don't bother! After use, the suede just picks up the dirt and dust of the floors and the original color of the suede is totally lost. I'm sure there are some really great cobblers who could convert running shoes into dance shoes by sanding down the tread first - but that option might be as expensive as the shoes themselves. This adhesive-backed suede is an affordable alternative, and not as damaging to the shoe if you one day want to remove the suede.

Real suede of great quality. Best results
This is an incredibly good quality real suede, with a good glue on the back. I didnโt want to risk it bc I was in the middle of performances so, I added P600 glue on top and it worked wonderfully. I wanted to keep using my old pair of shoes that I love bc I cannot find that model anymore. I cut the shape a bit larger, pasted it and, with super-sharp small scissors (think the ones that guys use for their mustache, or surgeonโs iris scissors) I trimmed the extra suede. It was not difficult even though, the results are totally amateurish and a bit sloppy to a close look. With that said, the shoes feel fantastic! I saved my old shoes. Donโt hesitate in buying this brand for any of your needs. Itโs real suede of a very high quality and the perfect thickness and flexibility that we need for dancing. I made the entire sole of the shoe, which is harder. The pictures are already after using them for 3 shows, because everything looks good when new, the key is when they last.

Still on after a few months
Worked for a pair of sneakers I use for line dance. One sheet covered both shoes, size 7.

Great Quality
This stuff really sticks great to the bottom of my tennis shoes that I use for outdoor dancing on cement and pavement. It allows me to easily do spins and turns and has lasted well over a year of weekly dancing indoors as well. Incredibly durable, highly recommend.

This is the way to go.
I bought these in 2017 and added them to a pair of lightweight flat bottomed Adidas sneakers. It worked well for a while, then the edges stay to peel away. I superglued the edges in place (around 2018) and have been using them ever since with no problem. These are the best dance shoes Iโve had in 30+ years of dancing. Theyโre lightweight and padded so I can dance longer and my feet hurt less (or not at all) at the end of a long night. Itโs now 2026 and the still in solid shape. Iโm now trying to my wife to switch to suede bottomed sneakers to save her feet too. Womenโs dance shoes look great, but letโs face it, theyโre not good for the feet.

Excellent choice for dance shoe soles!
Nice and thick, but still flexible. I got this to turn an ordinary pair of casual slip on sneakers into dance shoes for my 14 year old son. He has no desire to compete and have to wear tie up oxford style shoes, on top of the fact he has very wide feet. With dance shoes being so far to find in extra wide, this was a simple enough option. I traced the sole of the shoes onto the back the suede sheets, cut it out, trimmed any excess, and stuck them on the bottoms. Worked like a charm. The shoes are navy and have white soles so this beige color works perfectly. I will be back for more.

Good for short term
With a sad dearth of full leather sole shoes out there (the vast majority of men's shoes have a rubber heel, at best), dancing becomes rather hard on the knees. These sheets allow a quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive way to convert any pair of shoes to a leather(suede) sole. I would have rated this higher, but as I feared, the self-adhesive simply does not stand up to sustained use. You can then re-glue, since the suede itself is still fine, but it does present a problem that evening. I lindy hop/swing a couple nights a week for up to 3 hours each night, practice times beyond that vary. Within a couple weeks, I was losing one sole, and now a couple months in, the other has started to go. Superglue repairs seem to work great.

Perfect on my sneakers!
I stuck 1 piece onto my pair of Nike sneakers (which has a lot of ripples and grooves) and it has stuck nicely. I now dance in 100% comfort 5 days a week thanks to these and it has saved my feet as no dance shoes fit my wide feet.

Salsa dancing shoes from comfortable running shoes
A bit expensive but less expensive than buying dancing shoes. Application was easy, on cleaned sole (sanded, wiped down with isopropyl rubbing alcohol). The key is a clean sole. I applied to running shoes I had used once in dance class so the shoes were not brand new when I applied the suede. Second picture is the suede after one dance class and brushed clean with a brass wire brush. There was no movement of the suede nor any lifting on the edges. The glue seems to have done its job well. I cut and trimmed a pattern and used the same pattern, flipped over, for both sides of the shoe. I can do 2 pairs of shoes (men's 7-1/2) from one sheet. On other people's comments. the product looks like and feels like suede. It has no odor at all, neither leather nor synthetic. There were no instructions in the package so look at the manufacturer's website for detailed instructions on how to apply. As with any adhesive, a clean surface is key. If there is product failure, it will be from uncleaned soles or material to which the glue won't bond. [update] Picture with the brass wire brush shows the suede after 3-1/2 to 4 hours of salsa practice, the unbrushed side shows the debris picked up from the dance floor. After brushing, sued looks like when new. No signs of wear yet. No sign of suede separating from shoe. Product works well.

Easy to use
I used this product for my dancing shoes. The product was easy to use after googling how to add suede soles DIY on YouTube.
