Qatar: A Modern History Review: It met my expectations - The content of the book. The genre and author’s purpose of writing it. Summary interested me. Review: Excellent introduction to one of the least understood Gulf countries - Having never personally visited or studied Qatar, I have no predetermined image of bias towards the country. The authors style of writing and design of the book were perfectly aligned and definitely sparked my interest to learn more about a country that crucial to our nations interests (for numerous reasons). I would recommend the book to anyone interested in middle east history, strategic security, and maritime security.
