Copper Chef PRO XL

The screen works fine for crisping up pizza after being in the refrigerator and French fries, cooking steak, etc. but I had trouble with frying raw chicken because it left a bunch of brown stains on the tray that will not come off. I tried soaking it in dish soap for hours, and then scrubbing with non-abrasive scrubbers, and when that did not work I tried oven cleaner, and copper cleaner, but the stains are on and are now a part of the coating. It won't hurt anything because I am only using it as a drip pan and not a cookie sheet, but it looks terrible.

I have used The Copper Chef Pro XL twice so far and I am very satisfied with the unit. The 1st thing I did was frozen fries and bought the cheapest store brand. I misted them with canola oil cooking spray and put them in a preheated 400 deg. oven for 20 minutes. They came out very crispy and looked like take out fries. They were very tasty not quite fried tasting, but very good with little oil used. Tonight I took chicken drum sticks, coated with a little olive oil then sprinkled with lemon pepper and fresh rosemary. Cooked 50 minutes at 375 deg. Chicken was very crispy on outside, but moist on inside. After one bite I knew I would cook it again. My wife loved it too and packed leftovers for her next day lunch. Clean up is amazingly easy. I did hand wash both tray and basket even though maker claims it is dishwasher safe. I tried to think of a reason not to give this product 5 stars, but it performed better than I expected. I would like to note that my oven is a gas convection type and suspect that helps in even cooking as well as shortened cooking times.

This is the best way to turn your Convection Oven into a super sized Air Fryer. If you have a Convection Oven don’t waste your time and money on an Air Fryer. You already have a supersized Air Fryer you just need the pan/basket to allow the hot air to circulate under the food while it is cooking.

I love using this tray in my new Frigidaire stove with Air Fry option. I can cook a large batch of air fried chicken good to feed a family of 6. The tray underneath keeps the mess from reaching my oven. Meats can stick to the tray. Spraying it with a cooking spray did not help but using a brush on the tray , it comes off easily.

I have been using the smaller version of this pan for a few years and always wished I would find a larger version and now I have it. I love that I can also use it for broiling with oven door slightly open. It cooks great, would highly recommend !!Good seller too, fast delivery and follow up to check on satisfaction.

Made wings in this last night. Came out much better than expected. Clean up was really easy. Get this size pan I go you want to make a couple dozen wings. Those smaller versions aren’t worth it!

I have used this for “air frying” in my gas convection oven. I line the pan with parchment paper and wash by hand. It has worked very well for wings and thighs. I have only used it 3 times.

Works ok but the pan wont clean up
