Overall pretty decent case. Mine did not close all the way which was really frustrating, it meant I can't press the start and select buttons easily. I ended up not using it due to that, but for others it might be ok.

I found my old gbc and decided to give it a makeover. This kit got the job done. Includes everythimg you need to swap the shell.

Is this the highest quality replacement shell for the GBC? No. The plastic quality isn't the best, and the texture is significantly different than the original. does the color match the original? Not perfectly. It's a slightly lighter teal. Is it functional? Yes. You could honestly do a lot worse than this. I primarily needed it for the back half of the shell, because my original one was cracked and missing huge chunks along the bottom near the headphone jack. It's a serviceable enough replacement if you need the parts for cheap.

I bought this because my old Gameboy Color was in a basement for a while, and by the time I felt the urge to play it again it was pretty rusty and pretty unpleasant looking. So I bought a new Shell for it. After purchasing this one and finishing the installation I gave it a test whirl, and the D-Pad didn't feel good. Not even close to the same. I could push in the middle of the D-pad instead of it being on a point in the middle where it pivots instead. This makes it feel extra mushy and unresponsive. I even took the original mesh and buttons out of the old shell and placed them into this one to try to remedy this issue, and it still persists. So I'm convinced its the plastic molding. In the end I'm really satisfied with how it looks, but the main point of playing games is for it to be responsive and feel good to control, and that just went out the door with this. I opened and closed it with this shell on multiple times to try to fix this issue. Its just not something I could fix.
