Good item
Bought to secure wires for electrical equipment (obviously). Bought with ferrules. Used today for the first time. They're robust, have a good handle, feel good quality and were easy to use. Would recommend.

OK after adjusting
A note to anyone wanting to crimp small white ferrules, you will need the adjust the tension to max or your wires will all pull out of the crimps.

Great value and quality
Bought this product to use with multi strand electrical cables, I was a bit apprehensive due to the low price. Used it on 12 lots of cable installations and it worked perfectly, I would definitely recommend these pliers, don’t be put off by the low price as they are very well made and feel very sturdy. 👍

Good tool. Does the job well.
This ‘bootlace’ ferule crimp tool is more than adequate for general use. The use of ferule crimps when terminating multi-stranded cables is considered ‘best practice’ and may soon become a requirement (or amendment) in the IEE Wiring Regulations (though it isn’t currently). The ferule protects finer conductor strands from distortion, damage or fracture when under mechanical pressure from terminal screws. Ferule crimps also provide a mechanically secure and sound electrical connection and reduce the likelihood of potential dangers from stray or loose conductors or stray strands (Note; It is not necessary or even desirable to use ferule crimps on solid core cables). This crimp tool does the job perfectly well and accommodates the most common sizes you are likely to encounter. It is well made and should last many years. Easy to operate and adjust, fairly light and fits the hand well. The price seems about right compared to similar tools currently available. By the way, with non-insulated ferules (without the plastic sleeve) it can also be used to secure the ends of cords, string and twine (yes and even bootlaces!) to stop them fraying!
