Do the black keep it's color in sun and when you wash it

I have been able to wash these hats along with regular washing with darks. I let them hang dry. I have never had a problem.

Anyone have luck pressing a heat transfer onto this? Not from a cricut but purchased from transfer express etc.

Yes, excellent results, BUT I use Cricut. Suggestion: if you can, roll up a hand towel or something to stuff the cap and use a flat iron if your heat press won't work.

Will these hats fit children? 7-8 year olds

They will probably fit but you would have to take them in in the back with the Velcro. To be safe I would look for kids hats….. I know they are hard to find.
