VCELINK Cat6 RJ45 Surface Mount Box Shielded 1-Port, 5-Pack, White

Very easy to install considering I’ve never done this before. Had to redo some very old CAT5 keystones (wire was 5E) from 23 years ago. I noticed my speeds were capped under 100mbps. Threw these on each end and can now reach 1000mbps most likely — my down and up speed is throttled at 300mbps, but I’m getting the same speeds using these connectors and dozens of feet of 23 years old Cat5e wire as I am plugging my machine straight into the router with a cat6 cable. So yeah I’d say they work well!

I love these, they are all in one long line to punch down! Also the punch down is included! I thought it was a puck for a keystone. These are great!

Used these for surface mounted ethernet ports in my home. They were easy to wire up and haven't had any issues passing a signal or POE. The only complaint is that the adhesive didn't hold, so I had to screw them into the baseboards, which is probably how they should be installed to begin with. I would definitely recommend these.

The VCELINK Cat6 RJ45 Surface Mount Box Shielded 1-Port is well designed and easy to install. I have some WiFi antenna installations outdoors that should be grounded by using shielded Cat6. These surface mount boxes provide a convenient location to tap off the ground in the shielded cable from the antenna. I can confirm that the metal shield housing around the jack is electrically connected to the cable restraint crimp at the other end of box. So it is very convenient for me to add a ground wire to the crimp before crimping and attach the other end of that ground wire to a ground rod in the installed in the dirt. I protect the box itself by tying the box & cables to near the top of a stake, then sliding a piece of 4" PVC pipe with a cap over the upper end of the stake.

These CAT5 RJ45 surface mount boxes are very high quality. I don't always use surface mounts, but there are specific instances when they are all that will work in the space you have to terminate the cable. I recommend these VCELINK models.

I have an older home with lathe and plaster walls, not drywall. This makes it a lot trickier to cut into it to install wall plates. I used existing holes from coax and phone lines to run CAT6 cabling to my router in the basement throughout my house and attached these to the baseboards. I love that the keystone is built in and doesn't have to be purchased separately. I used a cheapo punchdown tool and setup was super easy. This took less time than putting on the the RJ45 connectors and now I have hardwired connections throughout my house!

Bought these for an interesting project and they worked perfectly. Color label inside to indicate how to wire them and they worked perfectly at 1GB speeds, which is what I was after. Highly recommended.
