LEPA Chopper Advance 120mm High Performance LED PC Case Fan, White - LPCPA12P-W

Really great looking fan in person and the materials used seem to be good quality however the bearings are poor quality, on my one it began to rattle after less than a month of use as the bearings wore in. So it's in the trash now. Despite the cool looks it's junk.

Amazing fans. White led lights with its own set of designs on the blade. Keeps my build pretty cooled down and ive have no issues with em. My only con that there is no software to pick a design so your stuck with it being on. Doesn't bother me really at all due to the fact i liked what the product was offering.

I really like this fan and bought it for the lighting effects. Things I want from an update would be: 1. Ability to adjust brightness of LEDs. They are fairly bright, but that may be great for you. 2. Better motor bearing system. After a month it was noisy, but I stopped it and restarted it, now quiet...hopefully for good. I am not sure what caused this, but we are back to very quiet now. 3. Ability to adjust effects. It goes through a series of effects. I would like to hold it on one of them, but it rotates through all of them.

I were hesitant at first when there were very few reviews here on amazon and other retail sites where customers leave feedback, but I weighed the cost vs. potential performance and took a chance. The original version had high reviews for airflow and quietness and I ultimately decided with this being a newer product and had unique led's for 9.99 when I purchased it would be worth the purchase. I have 3 of these mounted on front of corsair 740 air, first reason I chose is for the case wanting 3 120's vs. 2 140's for intake. Specs showed considerably higher cfm's and lower decibels than the corsair. Secondly I was looking for PWM fans that would be controlled by my mobo since the 740 case didn't really have slots for a fan controller. Lastly I just wanted a different Led look. I have been running these fans for a couple of weeks now, and I really can't tell if they are any quieter than a pair of corsair fans in the computer running right beside it. I do know I can't hear them over the cooler fans and pump which i can always hear, so as far as I am concerned the lepa chopper is quiet as advertised. As far as air flow it seems to be keeping all the temps cool under moderate to high rpms. I can hear when the cooler ramps up but don't notice the lepa front fans. I had the same initial impression of the Led patterns as the others while installing, but once I put the filter and front cover on, they are growing on me. I do like how they look compared to the plain blue AF140's in the rig right next to it and the color seems a deeper blue into the violet spectrum. Not purple but very blue. I do wish i could pick the pattern but they seem to cycle through the pattern at a pleasing rate. The rings do mostly appear as a solid ring looking at it through the 740 front air deflectors and the honey comb prefilter of the front panel. If you had the fans on full display through glass/acrylic panels, these random patterns my not be that appealing, but in a setup such as mine they are eye catching and are visually pleasing. Mine seem to have a chasing tendency one fan changes and the other two seem to follow in sync, and they tend to rotate and repeat. These fans come in a very nice packaging just like other high quality fans. The box has a front book cover type flap with velcro tabs so you can open to look at the fan inside if it were on a store shelf, not necessary for amazon, but in a retail store is probably a good feature for display purpose. The fan has 20 inch braided cable with 4 pin PWM connector. It comes with a molex adapter so you can run it directly off atx power vs. using mobo fan header. I would buy these again without hesitation at the $10 price point for intake fans. 9/28/20017 update: After about 6 weeks of use, I've pulled the fans from the case and went with the factory corsair case. I think Chopper fans are just as quiet, cool as well and look much better than the corsair, but I pulled them because: one fans leds stopped working, yet seems to spin true, but since I was already in case to address the other two that kept going out of balance felt I should change them all. The fan does indeed pop out, takes a little nerve to apply the pressure, but it comes right out as advertised. There is no directions other than the picture you see. You feel as though you will snap the frame but if you apply equal pressure with your thumbs on the backside nearest the hup it will easily pop. Equal pressure then a slight wiggle while the frame is starting to flex worked for me. They are cool fans and work. I can't find anything that is making them go out of balance, and they all still function minus the led on one. It may be in the circuitry. I am going to check with lepa about replacement, but it might be cost effective to just purchase another set if I end up being out of pocket for rma shipping. I took my rating down to 4 stars, because performance pwm case fans should last longer than 6 weeks before issues, but I am leary about using as primary intake with whatever is causing them to go out of balance.

I bought a PC with this fan. Fan crapped out within 2 weeks. Within days it started clicking and groaning. By the two weeks mark I was ready to just turn my PC off until I got a new fan, as this spent around 60% of its time making noise and not running properly (slowly, wobbly, irratic). Bought a new one here. Almost the same deal. Except, this one lasted around 6 months? just crapped out. Started making ticking sounds 2 weeks ago. Last week it started stalling and groaning, then spinning, then repeat. This week it spends ≈80% of its time not functioning... so now the fan is unplugged, and I have a mini desk fan aimed into the top of my tower to keep some air flow when I need to use my computer. Could be just bad luck, 2 out of 2, but IMO these are junk. Unimpressed. If they offered to send me 2 free ones for my trouble, I'd decline the offer and spend double on some other brand in hopes of a better, worry-free experience. Sorry guys... You need to up your Quality Control...

Worked perfect on my xbox one s cut the blue wire to speed up the fan and dont put the xbox on instant on or your fan wont shut down with the xbox and one shuts off last thing it will take a little while for the Xbox to shut off the fan

Looks amazing and worked as described but like all the others. This went off balance I would say about 6 months after installing and now makes a rattling noise. I wouldn’t usually leave bad reviews but I have a rackmount pc case that is a pain to replace fans. Not worth my time and money in the end.

I now own four of this type of product, three of which rattle. At this point I've replaced one already which rattled, which is why I ordered this product on amazon (the other three were acquired via cyberpowerpc whose support was unhelpful). At the time of posting, the third has now started rattling along the one purchased here. In the future, I'll build my own PC and never order this fan again. 4/9 - update - All *5* of this product type I own have now failed. I ordered different fan as a test which has now turned into the replacement. I ordered this Noctua 120mm : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BEZKX8Y/ so far it's been much better a fan the LEPA. Lessons learned, avoid 'LEPATEK CORPORATION' at all costs.

This fan is faulty. Many others also say there is rattling. My computer is for music production and I cant even stand the rattle when gaming. Not more than 2 months.

Interesting little gimmick. I bought one just to test and see if it will work in my new build. It's clearly a budget fan. The biggest problem is the high speed flicker whenever it contacts the brushes or something , the fan should come with an epilepsy warning, it can be hard to look at. I also bought an enermax cluster advance fan for comparison.. They are clearly made by the same factory. The housing is identical (besides the name of course). At the end of the day it's just a bit too gimmicky for me.

NICE BUT I WOULD OF LIKED THEM AS RGB FANS
