Exactly what I needed
Perfect replacement for our broken vent. I love the screws on the side vs. the clips my old ones have. I will be purchasing more of these in the future to replace my old clip ins. Install was extremely simple just a flat head screwdriver. The color matches our old vents exactly & fit into the old hole without issue. Works exactly like it should.

Fit is perfect just be careful with these
These are well made be careful not to damage them and the metal screws will require some type of protection from the elements.

Great Product
I have had these installed well over 6 months, they work as intended , are easy to install, and is well constructed. In totalci have bought 6 of these, none came defective or missing parts.

Very durable
The vents have held up well. Our Louisiana summers are brutal, we had an unusual round of actual snow, 12 degrees for several days...the vents held up and did their job.

Design flaws in the bimetallic strip
It’s obviously cheaply made. After installing 5 and after several months, including talking to the air vent customer service... Here is what I found as pros and cons. Pro: -simple auto temperature using a metal coil. -simple design. Cons: -Cheap, if you handle it rough the top frame will com apart. It’s all fragile plastic cased with fragile metal vent openings. That picture I uploaded, was me easily taking the frame out. Which also was frustrating if your foundation opening is snug (if your foundation was poured with the vent.), the vent will get stuck and you will only pull out the frame-leaving the back piece (picture) snuggly stuck in the opening. So that’s kinda double edged sword. Because that’s how you will have to fix the most commonly problems with this vent. -1 of 6 vents, The coil (bimetallic strip) that gets manipulated by temperature came off. This is the strip that flexes as temperature raises, forcing the vents to close. At first I thought I was at loss...***Pro-specific-tip: To fix it, pull off the outer frame. The plastic pin that holds the strip can be grabbed and pulled out from the outside. After, place the end of the bimetallic strip that matches the metal vent flap-rectangular opening (make sure it faces the right direction) then line up the plastic case hole and metal vent flap holes-along with the plastic pin. Push all the way in until you hear a click... or just a as far as it goes. I have a close photo of of this part. With that in mind, please check this plastic pin before you install it to save headaches. It just takes a 5 sec glance. Bottom line is that I am not the only person who mentioned this specific coil being out of place. Its very annoying if bimetallic strip comes off, but given how simple it was made... it went back easy. Overall, as a consumer paying 20+, it shouldn’t be annoying like this. Cheers!
