I bought a Google home hub during black Friday for my kitchen island. Sometimes it gets in the way of my counter space when cooking etc. So I looked for a horizontal outlet stand. This was literally the only one I found online I think! Plus it was the perfect width and depth to hold the Google home hub. Everything else was vertical stands. I changed my outlet to one of those with built in USB ports to charge my phone. This outlet doesn't have the traditional 2 screws cover. The cover is clip on instead. I was worried this stand wouldn't fit because of this. Installation was straight forward although it didn't come with instructions. There's diagrams in the box. I'm glad to report that it does. Look at my pictures in each step of installation. When it was installed, it wasn't a tight fit because the stand would move easily. Easy fix! I just tightened the screws. After which the stand was very sturdy and I believe the claim that it can hold 10 pounds. Plastic quality is pretty good too. Now my home hub sits a bit higher off the counter so saves space. Plus I don't have to worry about splashing the screen with food. The only thing I don't like is that there's no cable management at all! I kind of jury rigged my cable in place. There's is a hole in top for the plug cable to go through tho. Overall I recommend this. Buy it for your home hub if you have a horizontal outlet.

I’m not sure what product some people are getting in some of these reviews, but I ordered a single horizontal, single vertical, and double vertical, and they are all as shown in the pics in the descriptions. They are made of sturdy, durable hard plastic and were easy to install. Long screws are provided. I didn’t over tighten my screws, so my plates did not crack like others have mentioned. It’s perfect for my need! I’ll add more pics later. ~Christina

Product concept is good, but item needs a rubber or at least an abrasive back. I went to the local hardware store and bought an oversize outlet cover. Standard outlet covers are just too small and they show a gap when the shelf slides down, and it will slide down. Oversize outlet covers fit perfectly. I had to put a spacer on the screws that mount the outlet to make everything fit properly, as the back of the shelf is about 1/16" thick. I am going to have to put some glue behind the shelf or maybe glue a thin piece of rubber to the back though, as there is simply no way to keep the shelf from tilting. The tilt is slight, but the shelf puts so much leverage on the outlet that the outlet will tilt no matter how much you tighten the screws that secure the outlet to the box. The manufacturer could have solved this by making the rear surface more abrasive or by providing some 2 sided tape or by gluing some rubberized strips on the back, but unfortunately you will have to do this for them if you want to keep the shelf from tilting right or left. But once you do this, the shelf looks good and works fine.

The product box came in an Amazon soft pouch, but the box itself had been crushed in transit. The box was not taped closed in anyway and the bottom had come open during transit. The advertised chord strap was missing as were the longer screws that were pictured on the product box. Neither was in the box or in the Amazon soft pouch. If the box had been taped closed the missing items my still be present. The shelf itself seemed sturdy and worked with the larger outlet cover that we had. Fortunately, we already had some longer outlet cover screws from another project that we used to attach the shelf to the wall. However the longer screws did not hold the shelf stable, even when they were screwed tight. The short screws that originally held the outlook cover on did not work at all with the shelf. Good idea. Poor execution. Sending it back.
