Does this equipment move back and forth when you move or it just stay in one position

The equipment works well by staying firmly planted on its base, while it then moves with spring tension at its fulcrum. The seat slides slightly forward when the back moves downward with resistance tension. There are several positions and workouts possible. It is easy to use and surprisingly messages your back when in sitting mode and working out. Hope this helps.
