A massive accomplishment - but written, indexed, and printed in a hurry in order to be first.1. Very strong ink odor. Can only have it open for a few minutes. Hope that the ink in my copy completely dries someday.2. Hasty index - I'm writing in additional page references on incomplete index entries. For example, the explanation of the .xlsm extension is actually on page 163.The root of these issues is that Excel is now so incredibly complex that it can't be covered in one book, even one that weighs more than four pounds.Best to get more specialized books on different aspects of Excel, like McFedries' "Formulas and Functions."

The content of this book is indeed marvelous. It is also clearly written; however, there are many instances where in introducing the topic, one must read a lot of extraneous text before the simple instruction is given of how to access topic.

This book helps me prepare for the certification class.
