I have been a draw-Tite product user for many, many years. This hitch is just another example of their quality. Fit, form and function is perfect. Now, after that love fest, I will say I should have taken the other reviews about shipping a little more seriously. As mentioned by other reviewers, my hitch also arrived without a box or any protection at all via UPS. The extremely thin (1 mil.) plastic bag that was supposed to hold all of the mounting hardware, that was unprotected, and just taped to the frame, had ruptured during shipment. One bolt and one washer was all that was left. Also, there were many dings, dents and deep scrapes that either cracked, flaked or gouged the protective powder coating. Living on the beach, on the Oregon coast, any flaw in the powder coating WILL allow rust to enter UNDER the coating. Amazon customer service sent me a replacement hitch, and it was shipped in the same way, but with a little more tape on the bag of parts. They miraculously survived the trip across country..... It would really not take too much to put the hardware "inside" the square receiver hole and use strapping tape to hold them in! My UPS driver still can't get over how this was shipped, and wanted it OUT of his truck as soon as possible because it was sliding around and "damaging" other peoples goods.......!

With all the choices of class III hitches out there, I finally picked the Drawtite for my 2011 E250. I'm glad I did. Amazon is fast becoming the place to shop, so it seems, which is where I purchased my hitch. Shipped though ecustomhitch, they shipped it to my door with-in just a few days, so fast, it still shows "shipped" in my Amazon account, not delivered! Now for the installation part, this thing bolted right up, no holes to drill either. It took me the estimated time to install by just following the instructions provided by the manufacturer. One thing I must note, drop the spare tire some, it allows easy access to all the bolts, and frees up the movement of the hitch for correct lining up, which is only about an eight of an inch or so of play. The manufacture says it's not necessary, but it helped me. Check up in the frame rails on the driver side too. I was thinking Ford didn't pre-wire for any trailer lights, but I was pleased to see they have. Now I'm going to check the dealer for a factory trailer 4-wire that will just plug-and-play. Ford has even provided the lead for the larger plug that handles trailer brakes and lights. Too easy!!!

I'm happy to report that this receiver was shipped in a box. A heavy box with copper staples. All of the hardware was there, but it is all grade 5 and very basic lock washers. We bought grade 8 bolts, flat washers, and nylon lock nuts to use instead. Installation took less than half an hour on 1993 E-350 van. Everything lined up, no issues. It does stick out past the bumper if you have a regular rounded passenger van bumper. I don't think it would stick out as far on a contractor/cargo van step bumper. So far so good. Four stars instead of five for the grade 5 hardware.

At first, I thought I won't be able to install this myself, but heck it was so easy to install it took me under an hour, it comes with all holes pre-made, all the hardware you need for different types of trucks, I installed this on my Ford E350 heavy duty van and it worked like a champ. I towed a car dolly that have 2004 ford mustang on it from NY to TX 1800 miles and it didn't complain at all, lots of road bumps and curves but this thing was as sturdy as it can get. Love it and recommend it for everyone

Needed hitch for my van. This said it bolted right on and maybe have to drill two holes. Got hitch and all holes lined up with no drilling. Installed in less than 1/2 hour. I’m old or could of done in about 15mins. Fits and looks good. Would recomend this product

On my van, I had to notch my heavy step bumper to have the hitch clear. It had also been hit in the rear, so maybe that's not a standard thing, but fair warning. 2 minutes with an angle grinder. Either way, solid kit, good value, and sturdy.

Item arrived with damaged box but hitch was ok except for a small scratch, but hey, it's a trailer hitch! All fasteners were in a Ziplock bag and taped to the hitch and arrived fine. Used a 2x4 and my floor jack and lifted the hitch up and installed the bolts as per instruction diagrams. This hitch fits several different models so you need to pay attention to which diagram you use. The 3 holes per side that the diagram said to use lined up perfect but so did a 4th hole. I went to the hardware and got 2 more bolts and installed an extra one on each side. What the heck! The slight "V" shape of the main round beam of the hitch is perfect to allow the spare tire to fit with about 1/2" clearance. Installation total was about 45 minutes by myself. Couldn't have been easier! Very happy.

2011 E350 XLT installed in under half hour with the help of my 6 year old son. Every bolt and hole lined up perfectly. Instructions are written very small and not intuitive. But was able to manage to make heads and tails of it.

Perfect fit on my 2005 E250, bolted on easy in 20mins in the driveway. Don’t go to a shop just install yourself
