Good vise
Give this vise a try ive only tied about 20 flies with it so far but it works great. My first impressions of it was that the clamp mechanism was very chintzy and wasnt gonna hold anything but i was wrong it holds the flies tight and doesn't budge. It rotates very well and makes it real nice to tie some flies. Will update after awhile if needes

Great Vise for the money.
Great Vise for the money. Well made, Nice and sturdy. All the nobs are easy to use, and it grips the table well. Holds hooks tight and rotates with the hook shaft in the center.

I like it.
Purchased this vice cause I was looking for a rotary style but didn't want to break the bank. I am new to tying flies and for me, this works great. Can't say what the comparison is to an expensive one, but this definitely does the trick. And since I am tying saltwater flies, seems to hold all size hooks well. I definitely recommend this item for anyone starting out.

Very Unstable. Kinda Cheap.
Nothing on this vise would lock down or tighten down. Tied two small jigs and two egg imitation flies, then called it quits. Just too wobbly and unstable for any kind of precise work. Really surprised, especially for the price. This is the first thing I've ever returned on Amazon. I'm going to purchase the cheaper vise, which actually had better reviews.

It works great!
My son is an avid fisherman. He has been tying his own flies, and he thought it would be easier if he had the tool. After looking through the reviews, this one seemed to be the best one to start with. He says it works great, as advertised. (Not sure why some reviews say they had issues ... maybe user error? who knows...) We were looking at under $100 for our price-point. You could spend a lot more, but why? This one works just fine. You do have to know what you are doing, in general, but it does work well for a beginner and will last a long time.

Great product for my use... have been wanting a rotary vise, but for hobby and occasional use could not justify higher cost of other vises.
