Worked great for my big ol fingers!

It works great with tying directly into hooks. It is a bit of a challenge to tie onto a small swivel that turns inside the housing. The updated version opens with the appropriate amount of force and closes tightly. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase.

Big hands make hook tying a challenge. At least to me. This helped me tremendously. The quality seems to be there. Also saved me from hooking myself a few times as well. To be honest, I tend to fumble things so this helped from that aspect as well. I will definitely use this for years to come. I will say, my OG fisherman friends think it's not that neat, but it definitely hooked me up for fishing.

Smaller than some other commercially available knot assist tools. The smaller size makes it easier to keep on you but also prevents it from being able to put larger hooks in the slots. The "hinge point" of the clamshell opening is the plastic of the case so over time it will weaken.

These are great for us guys that don't have the best dexterity in our fingers. Saves me alot of time

The snell knot has always been one of my least favorite knots to tie, but necessary if you're rigging an octopus curicle hook, or any hook in which the eye points slightly backwards. Use a polamar knot on these hooks, and they won't hook nearly as many fish. Most of my leaders are 8lb flourocarbon, and I often use a #2 hook. If you are using fluorocarbon leaders, you'll need to take a razor knife and cut out a small groove on the handle side of the Hook-Eze, top and bottom, so as not to crush and damage the fluorocarbon leader. Additionally, I needed to use a small piece of masking tape to fasten the hook point to this device in order to keep it in place. Watch a few videos on how to use the Hook-Eze, and you'll be a pro in no time. This device makes the snell knot so easy to tie - I Love it!

Handy little accessory Just a bit on the expensive sider BUT I will buy it again cause there is nothing else like it.

I bought this for my dad as a little fishing gift, and he loved it. He's not the most patient when tying knots, but this made the whole process easier for him. The instructions were clear and straightforward, and the tool feels good quality. Not flimsy. It's a clever bit of kit, especially for anyone who struggles with small hooks or has a bit of trouble with their hands. It is handy to keep in a tackle box, and it is great that it comes in a pack of two. It is a proper, useful little gadget that makes fishing less faffy. Hopefully, they'll last a few seasons.
